Great presentation SWG, appreciate the no nonsense honest humble funny overview, was nodding my head in agreement the whole time. Become quite a Rolex fan in the last year myself since having had issues with a virtually new Omega, which was always my main brand. I've added a few coronets to the small collection and in my experience it's true what is said about them, they're some of the best watches available, regardless of price, the quality palpable as soon as you have one in your hands. They are perfect machines and works of art all at once. I recently bought a 226570 black dial and would never have thought of getting a white dial watch. I saw one of these on a client though and it was so understated and elegant that it's become the next horological goal and looking for the right one now. Traveling with the larger black dial model, especially on the steel bracelet, made me a bit self conscious (bought it while on holiday in Europe). Now home in the US and having it on a great Zealande rubber strap, post customary matting of the shiny bits by a local watchmaker, and it's much more under the radar but still I think the 40mm polar model will be even more travel-able and understated (could be a Tag as far as most civilians would think). And it's true SWG, that cyclops that I never liked either, really gets lost against the white dial. Thanks again SWG for mirroring a lot of my thoughts as well as this little preoccupation:)

Great vid! This was my grail watch! I have the "Swiss made" version with the 3186 upgraded movement. In summer I use an orange "rubber b" strap. Expensive but amazing strap. You are right that it barely gets noticed, which I also like. Have not regretted this purchase and it gets a lot of wrist time. Cheers!

It's a fantastic piece and it looks amazing on the bracelet or a vintage leather strap but it looks bloody awful on a nato! Especially the 'Craig' bond nato you've used there. Mind you; does any watch really look good on a nato?

I own an older PO. I love it. Had it for 12 years, now gone in for it's first service. I like the review, I watch these all the time. I could not help noticing immediately that the font used on these numerals is close to IDENTICAL to that used by Glasshutte on their SeaQ Panorama date, as well as the smaller SeaQ!

I had a 16570 purchased after seeing many amazing photos of it in 2021. I had it for several months and traded it in for something else. Not for profit, just never bonded with it. Mainly because the bracelet is off clasp for me and it doesn’t look as good as the photoshopped version shots too :)

You should put it on your other hand, and give it a good wind.

Hi Dan, I ordered smiths everest prs-25. I believe that it is absolutely perfect everyday watch. Is that possible swap the movement (e.g. ETA 2892-A2 top grade or Omega calibre 1120 which is much thinner and smaller than Miyota 9039)? and also I'd like to exchange double high domed plexiglass compared to current one. What do you think? Thanks
