I used to visit a nursing home and there were a few airborne guys there years ago. They used to sing this song to me. I wish they were still alive today.

Loved playing this over the giant voice when I was Division SDNCO. Knowing how much motivation I was pushing out to so many bad ass paratroopers. ATW!

My late brother was in the 11th Airborne Division, was out for a short time, then re-enlisted and went to the 82nd Airborne Division were he finished up with 23 years. HE would jump every chance he got. "I love it" were his words to me. God bless you brother!!!!!

My Airborne class in 78, one of the free fall parachutists doing a demonstration jump for our ground week class had a malfunction. His reserve chute got entangled with his main chute. He bounced once when he hit the street in front of us. About half the class quit. It really takes a special kind of crazy to become a paratrooper.

I grew up in an Army family with an uncle in the Marines. My grandfather was in WWI. Dad and my uncle "T" were in WWII and in Korea and dad was still on AD during Vietnam. I married a man in the Navy. My youngest son was in the Marines. I joined the Army Nurse corps and served 16 years of reserve and AD time. Blew my knee out running in Korea. 😅😢

My Other Lolo Is American He Joined The Air Force In 1934 He Flew In A P51 And He Died On December 23 2023.

Also He Fought against the japanese

My mom taught me this song when I was about 8 or 9 years old. She learned when dad applied for jump school. Couldn't get in because his eyesight was too bad. He had memorized the eye chart so he could pass the test without his glasses. They changed the chart on him and he failed the eye test.

The cadence is weird. They are trying to make a somber song happier. Imo it doesn't sound right, this way

Reminds me of major payne the movie when they had the rap battle. yeah 🦮💩. I have serious concerns of whether our troopers are ready to do what our grand fathers did. I just know us 30+ yr old's will be drafted to make up the short comings just like the german's did during ww2.
