Good to see you out on the shop again.
Good to see you in the shop again! Hope all is well dude.
Good to be back!
I’m gonna do this to mine because it just went out.
It is not a hard job to do , just don't over heat the board. Thanks for watching.!
Takes almost as long to clean a spot to work in as it does to do the job sometimes.
LOL ,that is so true.
Good to see you moving around. Heal up quickly brother.
Thanks!
Nice color 👍
What size flakes you use what size tip for gun
I used a 3M Accuspray Spray gun with a 2mm tip and the flake was a micro powder and the other was a .015 I think. The bigger flake does not have a size on it. I think I have two videos on the mixing of the flake l,can't remember Thanks for watching and good luck 👍
@@Bonis67where did you get the flake supplies? And I ordered. A different gun nozzle kit from snap on . He said use a 8mm tip kit he called it a flood tip should I use something like that?
@@vermontjeff2535 i got my flake from painthuffer.com and my spray gun is a 3M Accuspray with a 2mm tip. I really like this spray gun because you can change the tips to spray your high build primer , epoxy , base coat and your clear coat and of course flake. My paint supply's i got from TCP global on Amazon. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you.
Things are coming along nicely. Glad you’re out in the shop making progress when you can.
Me too!
That bug is going to look pretty cool with that color on it. It looks good. 😁
I did that with an iron for clothes, works faster and a lot smoother and keeps everything level. Put a thin cloth between iron and metal gauze to prevent plastic from sticking to iron.
Wow, love that color!
Nice work!
You got this buddy!
Look at that progress! Dude, so good to see you knocking it out. The purple is absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks, a little progress is better than none.
Keep up the good work! 💪💪💪
GNARLY. I want to see the rest of the paint. great job.
Candy paint! the flakes look amazing.
I did the same thing to my 69. Lots of spots welds. Awesome project ! 😀
I didn't know at the time I was doing this, that Harbor freight sold a spot weld removal bit. The drill bit worked just as good.
@@Bonis67 ohh yea. I purchase the spot welder remover tool from O'reilly. the one from harbor freight are not very strong. they might work for 20 spots welds and after that it start to make a mess.
Rad!!
Man she’s looking great bud!
Thanks
Man that looks great!!
Looking solid man. Huge difference after you did the sanding. My dad always said the work you put in after you paint it is the most important part.
I can’t wait to see it buffed out, it looks fantastic with just water on it!
I am excited to see it buffed out and shiny.
Good to see you making progress again buddy. She’s looking sweet, loving the outcome!!
Good to see you making progress buddy. I know it bummed you out but moving forward is putting the mishap behind you. Proud of you good sir!!
Fantastic job, it looks absolutely amazing!
Good to see you again. Sucks about the paint but it’s all part of the learning process. Don’t let it defeat you, just keep plugging along buddy.
At least you are doing it brother. Great job
Thanks, I am trying. Thank you for following.
I'm old school I like to wet sand using a block start with 2000 finish with 3000 then use 3-m Per-Fit they have a you tube video on thier buffing products. It turned out great that metal flake a challenge looks like the clear flow out nice.
It’s looking great man! I love the lace idea. I say follow what you think you’ll like and make it the way you want it to be. I know it’ll be more work but you’ll probably be happier with it. Glad to see you making progress, one step at a time!
Thanks, really thinking about doing the lace, just having a hard time finding what I want.
Looks awesome
Thanks!
Wow!! Looks amazing!!!
Thanks
Good to see your still grinding. It's come along way.
Love the flake.
Holy crap, I love it!!!!! ❤️
Thanks, still have to cut and buff it. Maybe I won't mess it up. 😳
Don’t get frustrated, keep your head up…. I bet it looks better than what I can do!
Thanks
Progress!! 👍
Glad to See you .Working on 71 vert.
Body is looking good man. I dread getting into the sanding 🙄 Smart idea on the dollies, I may steal that and lock mine together also! Have a great week my friend and be safe.
It is a lot of work, but will be worth it in the end. Steal if you need to that is why I posted it. My shirt came in the mail today 🤗
@@Bonis67 perfect, mine did also! Thank you so much!
Good to see you buddy. I’m dreading spraying the body when I get to that point but I’m looking at the same TCP brand. Congrats to your daughter also! Stay safe and do what you can.
Congrats to your daughter
I'm glad your sticking with the restoration. I'm having a hard time staying motivated on my VWS. YOURS IS COMING ALONG. GOOD JOB.
Trying hard to finish it up, setting small goals and it makes it a little easier.
@@Bonis67 sounds like a great tip. The issue im having is I had remember where I left off st lately. Like has kept me busy tbe last few months. Hopefully one I day I can get back on mine. Stay safe my friend.
Hi, brother did you remove the shift rod some how finally?
Yes I did, I will try and make a video on how. I guess I forgot to post that one. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Stay safe!
I used seal all on my atv tank and it peeled right off the next day . Bad experience for me never again
Sorry about that, I haven't had any problems with mine thank goodness. Good luck with the next stuff you try and let me know if it works better for you.
Try scratch sanding over the area then use some carb cleaner to remove any contaminants then apply the seals all.
Great to see you in the garage again. Love the progress you’re making.
Trying to get back at it
@@Bonis67 do what you can when you can and enjoy garage time.
!!!!!
Thanks for the info! This worked for me! Consider adding "Mountaineer" to the title.
Glad I could help.
That’s a huge step forward !!!
Yes it is, now its time for some high build primer and lots of sanding.
Hey!! You’re back on it!! It takes time. Regular life definitely comes first.
Looks great. You work with what you have. I wish I had your motivation to get back on mine. Small steps
I need more.
@@Bonis67 the only thing I have is excuses. Take care my friend
