@NSW Garbo 47 That Volvo pictured at 0:55, Unit #19FU along with units #2006 and #1574 , are already at the Gold Coast, working in action and serving currently :). However, Gold Coast City Council's Essential Domestic Waste Collection Services Contract is up next year half way through 2023, so I would like to say that, I wish the best of luck to JJ Richards / JJs Waste and Recycling for winning the tender and contract back on July 1, 2023! I really hope that Gold Coast Council awards it back to JJ Richards, it would just be morally and ethically wrong to see any other company or rival competitor working in that council serving the LGA after many, many years of JJs (the rightful owner) doing a fantastic and awesome job at it! It was devastating and utterly shocking, and so sad that Logan would even begin to think of awarding it to anybody else but these guys, when their contract expired and was up for renewal last year in July... :(.

@@NSWGarbo47 honestly I have no idea mate as to who else has put in a tender, maybe Veolia also perhaps? 🤔🤨 However, I reckon they won’t have tried very hard for it and put in a “good value for money” offer though. I’m sorry, but I would have to disagree with you there. I’m very very pretty sure Cleanaway has also put in a tender offer, and my gut instincts are telling me that they have a 50-50 chance (percentage %wise) that it will be either them, or JJs performing the services in Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) from July 1, 2023 onwards. Whoever it be as the contractor though for the new contract term, I also have a feeling that it will be Euro 6 Volvo FE’s as the primary chassis choice for the new fleet of trucks, then whether or not they are paired up with Series 6 Superior Pak Raptors, JJRE bodies or maybe even Bucher Gen6’s, that, is what in my opinion, will remain to be seen. It will be a tight call made by the council as to who wins it I’m sure, but ultimately, there’s only really one way to find out… we’ll have to wait and see who is chosen. Cheers

@@Aussie_Garbo5371 Nah Solo definitely won’t have put in a tender for the Gold Coast, as they don’t do domestic work in QLD (in the first place!), they only do a very few couple of streets as commercial work right down near the QLD/NSW border in Coolangatta. Other than that yeah they are only in NSW, SA, WA and VIC as far as I’m aware and haven’t expanded their business in to other states around Australia else where as of yet. Remember, Veolia is the new “Suez” now, as I’m sure pretty much most of us are aware by now, so they are no longer two seperate companies anywhere, they are all combined, as one. Think of it like this: Suez is a subsidiary of Veolia now Hope this info helps m8. Cheers
