Thanks. I'm not buying one and working on it like you had to. It's overpriced and not high quality or well thought out.
You gotta be a hard MF 😠😤
Thanks! Worked on my 2021 Fatboy..
Glad it helped!
Did you siZe up from your regular shirt /jacket size ?
Upsized 1 size
@@tacoontwo oh and last question; does the collar rub/annoy your neck or chin?
Do you have to do the risers before faring ? Also how long did the rider install take? Thanks looks great
No….but you have to remove the fairing to be able to do the risers but that takes less than 30 seconds
i looked at these but got a Stinger trailer instead i live in central florida, love it
I looked at the stinger also but went this route. Ride safe!
Have you feel any regret for not going with the escape bags for more storage room? Torn between the two
No….i knew they were smaller when I bought them and was prepared for them not being able to hold very much. I would recommend the larger bags if you want to carry more items or you are going to do longer commutes or trips.
So need for a cable extension kit with the 10 inch bars?!
Good video. These trailers are expensive but they are quite well made and strong, and the folding feature is great. They tow low and close, which helps fuel economy, but I'd worry a bit about rock damage to those nice Harleys. I use mine to tow dirt bikes so that is not a concern, and with the dirt bikes one can dispense with the ramp getting them on and off. Regardless of what the Kendon site says and carefully cropped and edited video showing a woman lowering the trailer, lifting and lowering these heavy trailers is a chore. I bought a Harbor Freight electric winch, mounted it securely to the garage wall and use that to lift and lower the trailer. Bought my full sized trailer like the one in this video for 1K, complete with center bike shoe. It was in ruff shape as the tires were ancient and the bearings were shot. Took care of those issues and it's been great. I use it to haul 3 dirt bikes or two full size ADV bikes out of state. Added a 5 gallon gas can holder to it also, which comes in handy. No huge complaints but I agree, going on 5K is a lot of dough for a new one, you can buy a new 6x10 Interstate enclosed trailer for that kind of money. The big attraction of the Kendon for me is I live in HOA Hell and can't park a trailer outside...
Hi! Thanks for the sharing, have a nice day🙏
Thank you! You too!
Oh, cool.
👍
Just went down on my ‘21 FXLRS. Bung kings saved the day. Minor bike damage and not a scratch on myself. Delrin sliders ground down just as they were meant to 🙏
Glad you are okay! Also glad to hear the bung kings protected the bike too
Did you have to get a fuel pack?
I did not have too, but I did end up tuning the bike anyway
Is this a 08 low rider?
No…2013 Super Glide Custom
Super helpful, thanks fellas!
Any time!
What kind of thread lock did you use to install filter ? Looked like locktite blue ! I am asking because my understanding is that the recommended that is yellow! Or you think it doesn’t matter?
I used a very tiny amount of blue
Prob already got it done, but there's a brake line extender on amazon that could be an option. literally a smaller piece that connects to master and original brake line.
Thanks but I was able to fix. Thanks again
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Center Storage Bag for your Polaris RZR PRO XP (if your car year is 2024
I sold the SxS but thanks for reaching out to me.
@@tacoontwo Hi, thanks for letting us know. Have a good day~
Looks good man! I just ordered the same one for my low rider, glad to see how well it looks. Nice job on your build
Awesome! Thank you!
As an owner of single, double, and triple Kendon's, I have some tips and suggestions. First off, buy used =) I picked my three rail for $600, the single for $1K and my double for $1200. You need to be cautious of course, but around SoCal, you can find good used ones well bellow $2500. On all three, the first thing I did was put in new bearings , seals, and grease. And make sure you check the tire build dates (see further down). I modified my dual considerably as the stand-up height was too high to fit my storage space. I had a trailer shop modify the tongue to shorten it and I use a removable coupler (just a receiver with a coupler welded to a shank, held in place with a pin). The whole front of the trailer is much stronger now too. Regards the lights...I learned with my triple (three dirt bikes or one track bike), that the taillights are vulnerable when just trying to move the thing around on the casters. I use magnetics, assisted with cable ties. To protect the casters, I use bungee cords to hold the up out of the way when trailer is in use (and to keep the center caster from getting stuck on the frame rails). For rear tie-down points I use heavy duty loop straps around the frame members at the fold joint. My dual is an older model non-ride on version, but I have ordered the newer dual ramp and have a heavy duty chock to mount in the center, so that I can at least use it solo. Regards tires...I totally forgot about the tires that came with my dual as they looked good and had plenty of tread. Towing along at 65, with two 500lb bikes on it, one of the tires developed a bulge. No problem...pulled over and had the spare on in less than ten minutes. Next day, same speed, the OTHER tire comes completely apart. Trailer held steady long enough for me to get over into the emergency lane and no part of the frame made contact with the ground (though there was maybe a 1/4" between the caster bracket and the pavement. Put the "bulged" tire back on and very slowly made our way into the next town, but that is a whole different story... After getting home, I checked the mfg date on those tires....they were 12 years old.
You’re the man sir
Thank you for the great compliment! I do appreciate the feedback and hope what I am doing is actually helping!
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Worth it it doant block the wind as much but looks bad ass
I agree!
Thank you so much for this video. This helps me with my Advanblack order of the chopped tour pack for my new 2024 Road Glide. Advanblack wants an additional $50 for "pre-drilled luggage rack holes" - which I think is CRAZY. How are you charging $50 for holes, when they are indentation marked on the underside and only take the person buying 3 minutes to do it themselves. I was a bit apprehensive about buying the luggage rack, but your video shows me exactly what I need to see, so I can go ahead and order the luggage rack with confidence. Thank you for taking the time to make this, and you just gained a subscriber. Thank you!
You are welcome and glad the video was helpful!
What highway pegs/ mounts do you have on ?
Sorry I don’t remember exactly but I did purchase from my local Harley dealer
Blue Loctite will solve your bolt problems. Move the lights rather back/down the fender and the pegs should go over them. Why did they build the trailer with three different "walking" surfaces? Why did they use that elaborate twisting and bending of tubes between the extruded metal and the tire? That creates a very irregular and slippery surface in a location where you need maximum stability to load and unload your bike. The ramp is the same way with no traction where your feet have to brace the bike.
I agree with the irregular walking surfaces…makes no sense.
What size allen key to remove the bolt, i dont have any that fit (uk model bike)
What size socket to remove the original linkage, trying to take mine off and none of my allen keys fit (UK)
Ok im confused. Why have highway pegs if you trailer your touring bike on the highway. Help me out here.ty
Because my son didn’t want to ride his Dyna all the way to Sturgis so we decided to take the trailer.
What's that seat ? What is the brand?
Saddleman Step up
You should have just ent them back for replacement, every bike is different but not that much
I started to, but decided a slight modification in this case was okay.
I have a 2001 single kendon Stand-up that has probably 30,000 miles on it from Florida to Wisconsin and out to Stirgis every year. Follows beautifully. Only replaced the tires and wheel bearings 3 years ago. Still looks like new because I believe in continued maintenance
That is great feedback! I am glad yours is holding up well.
I assume your old Siouxicide Choppers sissy bar has been rehomed?
I still have it but I am planning on rehoming it
Stock headers or cat-less headers?
Stock header at the time of the recording
Looks good 👏🏻 New follower ✅
Thank you, I appreciate the support!!!
I’m consider buying one of these. What are the castors used for? Don’t you move the trailer around with the wheels?
The casters are used to move the trailer around in the folded position. You fold the trailer up and once it is standing upright you can roll it into the storage spot. Hope that answers your question. Thanks
Be aware that the dual rail is HEAVY and it can be tricky to raise it on to the casters. And make damned sure the surface you are working is flat. The single is much easier to handle.
Nice, does it shift better?
Thanks and I do believe it shifted a little better
Still have it? How has it been over the past year? I’m in the market for this year low rider s myself. Thanks
I do not. I got rid of the S for another toy but then sold it too. I have since bought a LRST. I personally would spend the money and get the ST over the S simply for the versatility of the ST. With saying that, I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. They are great bikes
I thought the Low Rider S had standard factory cruise?? Also, how much did the part costs, how much to have the HD dealership flash the system? How much would this cost just to let the dealership do the entire install? thanks
Mine did not have cruise. If I remember correctly the cruise control module was around $250 and Harley charged me 1/2 hr labor to flash it so it would work. I didn’t ask them what they would charge to install it as I try to do most of the work myself but I am guessing it would be a couple hrs of labor for the install
Does your son have a channel i would really like to see what more he does to bike. ?
He does not. I will try to post things he does as we make changes
I have same bike. And yours looks so sweet nice job. Love the bar set up.
If your son has a his own channel let me know what it is cause I would love to see what more he does to bike. Cause I just ordered the risers and bars. And how long did you need for extension for speedometer ?
Awesome! Thank you!
He doesn’t have a channel. I believe it was a 22” cable from guerrilla cables
I thought you could not use that seat with the saddlebag crash bars according to their web site. Otherwise I would have ordered it.
I don’t have any fitment issues and It works on my bike just fine. Sorry you didn’t get the chance to order it.
I’ve literally pulled hundreds of trailers for work and recreation, and this trailer has too many shortcomings for me. I ended up getting an Aluma UT-10 trailer, with full width slide out ramp, 18” rock guard and diamond plate storage chest. It was also super easy to install a spare tire mount on, and not have to carry all the essentials somewhere else! I can carry 1 bike, 2 bikes, or even my Ural Gear Up hassle free. I don’t use the Aluminum trailer in the winter here in New England (road salts eat them up). I have a steel trailer for winter projects.
I agree with you an the shortcomings, but if you have to have a folding trailer due to space constraints I think it is a very good option
Paid $700 for used single 2005..gonna upgrade lights to led And Harborfeight for casters.
Sounds like you got a great deal!
Does this work on forward controls?
I think it would work the same as long as it has some adjustment on the yoke where it hooks up. I can’t confirm though as I don’t have access to a bike with forwards.
What ever happened to your Low Rider
I got rid of it for another toy and then decided to get an ST instead of the S when we sold it due to not having the time to use it.
@@tacoontwo and how is the wind buffeting on the ST versus S?
Adams the man 💪🤘
👍
S&S or Khrome werks. Which sounds lower ?
Not sure I can accurately answer that as I don’t have a bike with Krome Werks exhaust. On a stock head pipe I think KW may be a little deeper but since this video, I have put a JackPot open header on the bike and it dropped the tone lower and has made it louder.
I think it looks great!
Thanks!
