it's all relative, there's always a chance to do it, in my opinion, but us plebs are lacking a lot of skills. Some of them, if you learn them, catapult you to new heights with a certain race, for others it's gradual improvement. Terran is hard to beat in a lot of scenarios, yes, but I think it's doable if you figure out your style and stick to it in XvT. I'm curious how the new update will impact these things.

I think it's more situational, depends on composition too, but it does feel like that sometimes.

@@mauzycasts terran compositions have been the same since 2010. Actually they are more simple now and they tend to stick with T1 bio more than they used to.

Makes sense, right? I think they should've removed the gateway, give carrier a single interceptor and buff liberators to not have to siege, plus ghost can snipe mechanical units too, I think that would be fair...remove toss while they're at it, am I right? XD /s

New patch gave me plenty of reasons why I shouldn't touch the game besides casting tbh...XD

That is why there's a question mark next to it. Playing poor in a ladder game is also no indication of who's who. Also if you call 6.2k a bad player, then not sure where good players begin for you. Cheers!

Overall it was a perfect reflection of why I love casting your games, they're fun and I can brainstorm as well, figure out what would be the best way to handle situations like this. I hate ghost river too, much respect to you for playing all maps <3

Turtle Zerg, just like Turtle Terran, is a style where you focus on entrenching yourself behind static defense, lurkers, only doing small counter attacks with lings, but not moving out until you max out on a super huge army. Jus like siege tanks, turrents, bunkers, then moving out with thors, tanks, hellbats once you finally max out. Harokku is patient and can make this happen, he focuses on not dying, then once he maxes out, he uses Spellcasters to kill his opponent slowly. Shouldn't be a thing, but sometimes it works out :D

I am not a terran expert and I'm not great at decision making vs cannon rush, but if I have to guess it came down to micro slip-ups...

The strategy that I used here is very bad at this level because it relies on the opponent making mistakes rather than allowing for a high skill ceiling. The opponent made a few mistakes but the biggest one was opening two blind barracks without gaining any value from it. Typically this blind counter is extremely effective because you get 4-5 marines and then shoo off the probe from the ramp to deny high ground vision (and then killing the cannons at the ramp for free). In this game, the opponent made the two barracks but then just flew them away. The consequence of this is that he delayed his factory and gases for no value (the same thing would have happened if he had only made a single barracks) so he ended up blind countering himself instead of me. It's all about that early tank and then viking count in the defence and if you delay that production you will take damage and let the opponent snowball out of control. Hope that helps!

when a protoss power a ton of structures (cannons, shield bats, production or tech) with a singular pylon, making them all useless when the artosis pylon is sniped

it already got answered, and yes, it is indeed one pylon powering ALL the buildings! Back then Artosis (commentator) used to play in tournaments and there's a famous clip when all his production gets unpowered (~5 buildings) due to having 1 pylon only. Later they coined the term "Artosis Pylon"
