    Yup, do what’s right for you. The flip side of insecurity is overconfidence. Life is figuring out when to be cautious and when to be bold.

      Exactly right. Sitting drastically on either side as a base setting will cause chaos, but there are times that definitely require elements of safety and, as you rightly point out, abit of bollocks.

    I think what you’re trying to say is, “everything in moderation, including moderation”. I can eat healthy most of the time, but every now and then I should have a Big Mac with fries and a shake. They only serve health food in Heaven, so binge on earthly pleasures on occasion.

    I hear you. The Corporate World in particular is full of people who want all the authority and none of the responsibility. My favourite is the inability to make a decision by a higher up to meet a deadline, so you go ahead and do what makes the most sense to you and get the response afterwards, “why did you do it that way?” Whatever… at least I did something and moved the project forward, and quelle surprise! It turned out it was the best thing to do.

      Brilliant point. We live in a world in which action is criticised, but few people have any better ideas. Action will always be better than inaction, even if your form of action is to do nothing. Thank you for commenting, i really appreciate it. I can see that you have taken the time to comment on a number of my posts, and its a fantastic compliment. Bless you! Love, Tom

    It also helps to “say the awkward thing” instead of playing into the hero-villain-victim drama triangle. If someone is blocking the grocery aisle with their cart, say “Please move aside so I can get by” instead heavy sighing and eye rolling. It may earn you a stink eye or an ignorant comment, but at least you’ve dealt with it in the moment and you can move on. I agree that any one of us can be stupid at any time, and just need a not so gentle prodding.

    • @ABlokeTalking
      @ABlokeTalking 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly right. Being fourth right and honest in a world that rarely applies these skills seems odd, even rude, of us to do. But, utilising this method of communication gets us through the idiocracy of others- and sometimes, ourselves.

    Gave you a like, this is the type of information that actually helps and is real and practical. At one point in my life when i wanted to change my habits this is exactly what i did. I took action, i allowed myself to experiment and found out what worked and didnt work for me. I allowed myself to make mistakes to learn the best way for me to proceed and move forward. I didnt worry about being the most efficient or having to be "perfect" in what i do. A great thing i found out is that if you literally do everything the voice inside your head that says "i cannot be bothered to do that right now" or "i dont feel like doing this right now" (for example: Exercising) every time every day for 2 weeks you get into a pattern/habit of doing everything you say your going to do. It starts to become easy and not as much of a chore.

    Hello! I want to thank you very much for the advice! I have been going through complicated years. last of 2022 and all of 2023 were horrible, 2024 did not start that well either just very stgnant, I could never have a permenant job. I tried killing myself more than 3 times, I was on antidepressants for three years. It really was complicated, lost alot of people I thought were my true friends because of gossip of a narcissistic ex friend thay still likes to do smear campains. Always had nightmares and cried alot, I still do, because of how things turned out and the people that turned their back on me. Know I'm going to a new country, and I'm hopefull things will get better! Even on these horrible moments, I'm still very gratefull for my family around me, and the true friends that still check up on me. Things will get better! I really needed to hear your advice! Keep going with your channel! 💪🏼🤍 ps: sorry for my mistakes, english is not my frist language
