I finished the solo of the 2023 CDR and this video really captures what it was like for me. When someone asks me about the race I just share this video. I loved the leg 4 part of the video, the music and time lapse were spot on. Good job man.

Is this the most challenging experience of your life? How many times did you honestly contemplate giving up? Great job, way to keep battling.
The Coastal Challenge remains to this day one of the hardest things I've ever done. From day 4 onwards I thought about giving up all the time.. somehow I persevered. Thanks for watching :)

@@blainebowe6917 Thanks for asking! It was actually really good, definitely one of my best runs so far, roughly 44k, 1000m of elevation gain, and I took it easy (~5 hrs), great experience! :-)

I did the race in 2000 ( the first one), and it was was HELL. did 2001 and that was just as much HELL! and because I needed more more pain went back for 2005.....more HELL! LOVED EVERY FREAKING MOMENT. The Death Race plaques on my office wall reminds me everyday that sometimes you just need to run. Cheers to you Tom!
