This track carefully interweaves the continuous, understated pulse of a viola ostinato with the slow, rising melodies of violins, crafting a landscape filled with deep emotional resonance and subtle narrative tension. 🎹 I’ve always been captivated by the power of minimal compositions to evoke strong images and feelings with so few notes-each sound carefully chosen to enhance the atmospheric tension. "The Long Await" also reflects this, offering a musical experience that is both introspective and expansive, similar to the evocative moments in cinema where the score and the scene are inseparably intertwined. 🍀🎵 One of the defining features of this piece is its slow buildup, which mirrors the slow burn of a film’s climax, drawing listeners into a state of anticipation and reflection. In my latest composition “Distant Voices” I went to ancient times. Here are many voices singing emotional melodies sometimes joined by the choir. I’ve always been fascinated with human voice and variety of emotions that it can express. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to record this or other compositions with real voice - it would be amazing! 🎵 Especially I like the combination of voice and strings, cello for example, they create a good fit. By adding different kinds of drums I wanted to add some more depth to it. 🎻🎤🥁 In the middle section there is an Irish flute playing a solo, which I especially like because unlike “normal” flute it produces wind sound, which I think sounds great! Also this flute sounds way more older than traditional orchestra flute. 🍀🎵 In the end we have once more the voices and choir singing melodies together. Throughout the composition, in the background, the piano is accompanying the whole song and at the very end we can hear it more clearly as it is playing the last few chords. 🎹 I hope you like it, if you have any thoughts I’d appreciate if you leave a comment below.
