The semi-covered flight deck probably isn't a good idea, as it would likely get in the way of flight operations, but overall I really like it. It kind of feels like Space Battleship Yamato, but with the aesthetics of Star Trek.

Fun idea , but the hull shape would only be a practical in-universe design choice if this vessel was designed to be able to land on water . This WOULD be a really COOL feature , _especially_ if written into a Fan-Fic episode featuring this variant ! That capability could _well_ be written into a script where re-supply was treated as a natural necessity of continuing the defense of a political front , where the remote projection of power was important . Take ANY global geo-political headline from _our_ day and mod it for a good Trek story . I could see Worf coming off of an assignment on DS-9 , getting an assignment to command a Fleet Carrier like this one , bringing his Defiant as the Captain's shuttle - ARMED "just in case" ! Some MAJOR story potential for SURE !
