Thanks 🙏 stoked for sure! Yeah, bcpov has a great video on this trail. The GoPro doesn’t do it justice. Probably why I’d ridden here so many times but had yet to clear them all. We all have a plan until we’re staring down a huge lip going Mach chicken 😜.

fantastic video. recently discovered sandy ridge myself and this video is definitely helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Such a great network of trails.
No issues on E-bikes there? That’s what my wife and I ride too.
Nope, good to go
It might be good to call out and say “Hi” a little farther away. Seemed like some of those hikers were scrambling to get out of the way at the last min. Yes, they should be paying more attention, but just starting a conversation farther away before you are on top of them helps a lot I have found.
I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. They definitely saw me but I think they thought I was going to take a different line further away. The trail is relatively wide so I’m sure the hiker perspective was just “go around” but from the MTB perspective, the desired or sensible line may be the one closest to where they are standing. At any rate, we’re all outside to enjoy ourselves so not trying to spoil that for anyone! I’ve had all sorts of interactions with hikers, ranging on the spectrum of positivity. Luckily, there aren’t many trails in the PNW where this direct biker/hiker interaction is typical.
Did two turntables yesterday. What a trail!! Just incredible and thrilling.
So fast! I like how some natural doubles kind of unlock as you get going!
Magic trails
Absolutely! Thanks for watching 🌟
Do you think this trail is still running for the year? I'm driving through this weekend, heading back home, and this trail looks freaking SICK for being so close to I-5.
Yeah, it's really fun. I'm not sure about current trail conditions - I believe they are expecting rain this weekend. I would call one of the local bike shops. I believe Deadwood Supply Co Bike shop is responsible for build/maintenance in this zone. Good luck, lmk how it goes!
Great video! How does this place compare to cold creek? It looks super chunky a bit intimidated to try it haha
The rocks at Syncline are the more pointy/sharp volcanic rock. Nothing is too gnarly if you keep your momentum up to get through the chunk. Also there’s some gnar factor due to the big cliff off to the right hand side but that doesn’t really come into play while you’re riding. One cool part about this zone is that there are many line options for most sections, so you can choose a line that is more or less challenging. Excluding the ridiculous shale section, rocks at cold creek are more river-type rocks. One big benefit of Cold Creek is that you’re way less likely to encounter hikers, especially on the weekend! Thanks for watching!
@@FernFlowMtb Gotcha, sounds like I just need to give it a shot then! All the upcoming rain is def making me consider heading out that way.
Yeah, I've always heard this is the place to go when it's wet; but, oddly enough, not sure I've actually ridden here when it was raining 😄@@lennyjamz4389
