I remember learning about the schism between Russell and Barbour and the way the Watchtower portrayed it Barbour completely rejected the ransom, whereas the argument was more about the state of Jesus' resurrection body. Watchtower's other argument that anyone could have paid the ransom price, as long as he was a perfect man, is so counter-Christian it's crazy. Now there's decent evidence that at least the author of Phillipians and John might have had some inkling of a prehuman existence for Jesus/Logos but I find it very VERY difficult to believe that many people believed he was an angel or the first created spirit creature before his birth, let alone God. They knew him as a man, and even the much later author of 2 Timothy insisted he was still a man in some sense.

this is too easy to disprove, in buddhism and in many hindu practices it is well understood to be impossible to attain nirvana/moksha [their equivalent of salvation] though your own efforts. nothing that you do or say or think can get you there, and in many traditions it is understood that this attainment is the gift of god. attempting to divide the world's religions into two categories like this is a deeply insidious way of exploiting people's lack of knowledge about other cultures to promote us vs them style thinking. it doesn't seem very christlike, didn't he teach you to "judge not lest ye shall be judged?" there is no such thing as "paganism", and there never has been. the term itself is a catch all designed to reinforce people's existing outgroup tendency bias, but it does not describe anything real. christianity cannot be said to be categorically different from other religions in any way, and every attempt to make it seem so is extremely contrived and invariably founded on misinformation and delusions of red team and blue team.

Commentaries are the way to go. the Tyndale series is excellent. Read them on the Logos app. Last week, I used the MacArthur commentary for Revelation. It was great too. Now it’s James White, his trinity book. Kindle 😅.

I built up an extensive collection of Biblical works pre 1900, as I believed this have me a foundation of what the enlightenment movement 'mind-set'. Most of was just thrown out as junk for a few bucks,... even a 1769 church bible was near worthless, but so rich in composition and margin texts. Then collected a range of old academic reference, plus scripture,... by the time after 1945 evangelistic period it's all changed in textual quality. The best library is the Escoteric Library handed down from the angelics, everything else is just novels. So much textural works are just repetitious with no new thought. Rudolf Steiner was most enlightening.

This is an ignorant viewpoint if you are wanting to be able to talk to people of various religions about Christ. When you come at people with no understanding their varied backgrounds, you turn them away. Noone in modern times turn more people away from Christ than "christians".

I appreciate the level of effort that you put into your research and videos. I wonder if Jesus really expected his followers to amass a library to understand his message? What about Christians in the centuries after his death? For a time, they did not even have a canonical NT, how could they please God well? I consistently see this notion that the Bible is not enough and we need more. That's really how WT got its start with Russell's 6 volume commentary on the scriptures. I do not understand why God would provide a book for us that is insufficient to lead mankind to salvation?

What really unites false religion they are all man centred often claiming an unconditional immortality for man . They have no satisfactory answer to the issue of what happens to those who die without hearing their gospel. True religion is JEHOVAH Centred satisfactorily answering the question of how JEHOVAH is going to rid the entire creation from sin without violating anyones free will or his perfect standard of Justice and contrary to what some slanderers claim JEHOVAH'S servants credit our God JEHOVAH for our liberation from sin

That doesn't actually make sense if you think about it. If God does the saving, and if it's grace over works, why would Christians do the work of believing in Jesus? It is a work to believe. It is a work to accept the blood of Jesus. I don't believe in Jesus. I don't accept his blood. To do so would be unconscionable for me. I have a direct and most intimate relationship with the Most High. He blesses me in the most astonishing ways every moment of every day - often with great pain, I do admit. There is no way I would involve Jesus or any other idol in that. I am jealous for God just as he is jealous for me. That shared jealousy is what makes the acceptance or even consideration of Jesus unconscionable. Those who take on Jesus are taking on a burden. They are taking a yolk and a load. It is ludicrous for Christians to claim they are living by grace and not by works. Listening to Christians make that claim is just like listening to queer theorists talk about pregnant men! For Christians to claim that a salvation gained by taking a yolk and bearing a load is a salvation by God and grace alone is as absurd a claim as any that can be made. It's the other way around. Christians take the yolk of Jesus because they believe that load ensures their salvation. How can they claim it is a salvation by grace? How can they claim it is a salvation by God alone when they have made of themselves such beasts of burden? However light he says his load might be, it is still a load to bear. If you are bearing a load, you are doing a work. Therefore, it is not a salvation by grace but by works. Christians who carry on this work of faith in Jesus cannot claim to be saved by grace. On the contrary, those who remain jealous with God and do his will are saved by God because they live by God. To live by God is to be saved by God. And no, Christians cannot in good conscience claim that Jesus is God. Jesus is not God. If any Christian is saved by Jesus, he is saved by taking on the yolk of Jesus and doing his work. I'm sure there is grace involved, but that is salvation by works much more so than is the law of Moses. Even though Jesus never even suggested that he was God, he addressed that charge in John 10 by reference to Psalms 82:6. The Hebrew word for God is the same word used for rulers, judges, and teachers. Jesus there explicitly denied being God. Belief is work. To be saved by belief is to be saved by work. Salvation by grace alone would not require belief or even knowledge. Indeed, if salvation is by grace and not by works, it would be ill advised even to speak of these things at all. "Pagans" such as myself believe we will be judged on our merits. Therefore, we do the best we can to merit as much as possible. That is a good faith

It is important to note that all who believe the lie that man is merely sin-sick, and not spiritually dead in sins, are not believers in God's promise to Adam that in the day he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would surely die, but are adherents and perpetuators of Satan's lie to Eve that she would not surely die, for they say 'we are not surely dead'.

When we was created in the first earth age we was created in spiritual form. After Satan rebelled ,God destroyed the earth that was being the first earth age. Keep in mind this is in no way Noah's flood. After the destroying of the first earth age God then created this age being the flesh age. When we was created in flesh God too created himself in the flesh creating the Holy trinity The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit . Just like we have a spiritual body so does God and his spiritual body was placed also in a flesh body which is Jesus Christ that is why Jesus said "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" John 14:9. The reason he said that is because our flesh bodies look identical to our spiritual bodies. Remember in order to understand what i said above you must realize God is not in this dimension and time and space has no affect to him meaning he can be at multiple places and times at one time.
