Clark Tower Castle is located in a very secluded area. It's high up on a hill, and deep in the woods. And sits not too far outside the village of Cooperstown New York. Although it can be a little tough to find. It is a pretty cool sight to behold.

@@garthf9609 LOL! No it's not our ancestral home. Belong to a much much richer family than ours. Most of it is well maintained now as they are doing renovations. Some rooms inside are still in pretty bad shape. I just chose not to take pictures of them. Thanks for watching, and thank you for your comments.

If those spots on the wife's back are moles, you can get rid of them fairly cheaply with some Gentian Violet. It is a dark purple that can stain so I suggest applying it outside. I got rid of a large mole using Gentian Violet in about three months. The mole turned into a scab and dropped off. Then I was left with brand new skin. Couldn't tell it was ever there. Thanks for the video!
@@GoCreateSomething thanks for the advice. But they are actually not moles. Just some dark brown spots that she happens to have. They are flat and smooth, and she does have freckles also. Which some of those are. We always have regular doctors visits. So they are nothing to be concerned about. Thanks for watching.
Thought you were in Hawaii there for a minute...nice area for walking. The cat tails you were showing us, I think these are what we call bulrushes mostly found as you say in swampy places, but I have never seen them flowering or disintegrating like that.. interesting. ... thanks for sharing, look forward to seeing more of the park.

We actually did not do any video of the Town itself after all. We decided it was just too crowded to do any real filming. But we do have two other videos from the area that we will be putting up in the future. So make sure you come back to check them out! 😎
I know very little of American history, so I may have this completely wrong, but from what I quickly read it was originally a British fort built in the 1700's and was attacked by the French in 1757. It was reconstructed in the 1950's on the original footprint by local businessmen to protect the site. So you could have been looking at a Walmart perhaps today instead. You two certainly do get around to interesting places ... have a great week, thanks for sharing again
@@garthf9609 thanks for that information on the Fort. We were going to look it up ourselves. But we hadn't had a chance to do so. It is very interesting about its history for sure. And would have been a major loss. If it had not been protected.
@@DoingThingsDB yes, my reading is the buildings that are there now are a copy, the original structures were long gone by the 1950's.

@@garthf9609 the wife just bought a set of homemade barrettes. Things can be pretty expensive there. We mostly go there just to walk around, and look at things for something to do...👍
@@DoingThingsDB Yes we have noticed things at our local markets have got expensive also, so we are selective as well in what we buy. As you say its a good walk and you often meet interesting people. Don't know if its the same where you are, but nearly everyone out walking seems to have dog.
@@garthf9609while out walking we see people walking dogs yes.. But not really a whole lot to be honest. Most of the ones we see on the trails are just people. Are there walking or riding bikes. But some do have a dog with them.

@@garthf9609 yes it is pretty cool for sure. But I don't believe it's maintained at all. Which is why there's a fence around it for safety reasons. Glad you enjoyed the tour....👍

@@garthf9609 LOL... Yeah it doesn't look too bad. I'm actually a pretty well-rounded jack of all trades. I have a lot of outside stuff to get done before the winter comes...😏
@@DoingThingsDB yes there is always something that needs painting or replacing. Your winters I imagine would be a lot harsher than ours.
@@garthf9609 yes they can be pretty harsh here in the state of New york. Although I'd say the last four or five years haven't been too bad really. We haven't had any real big storms since 2016. Lester I want to use my snowblower about three times. It's been really cold but not a lot of snow lately.
@@DoingThingsDB I have never actually seen snow, once sort of but it was more sleet driving to Canberra (ACT territory )
@@garthf9609 I really don't care for snow all that much myself. Except for christmas, I really do want snow on Christmas! Just doesn't feel like Christmas without it...🥺

You find the most interesting places to walk, especially liked the art works and the woodpecker, it looked really easy to get lost in there to me as every tree looked the same. Thanks for sharing and hope you both have a great week.

Nice trail, perfect for cycling, thanks for sharing. Not sure if you have priced an electric bike, we have an electric bike shop close to us and the one I like they had out front this morning at A$6.5 K ( Can $5.8 K), which is expensive to me. They are though really popular here. We are still in winter here but its 19 C or 66 F and 70% humidity, so not too bad a day. Have a great week.
@@garthf9609 yes it is a very nice trail for riding. We actually have a lot of nice trails around here to ride on. Play electric scooters like we want. Well, they come in all different price ranges.. The actual ones were looking at, are under $300. The temperature here is actually cool down some since we went on that bike ride. We're only averaging mid-to-high 70s now. And the humidity is gone down some, so much more comfortable. As always, we thank you for your interest and comments on our videos. 😎

I was waiting to see what happened when you got to the viewing platform and the swing bridge, I share you wife's fear of heights and swing bridges, I wouldn't have done either. I noticed at 17:12 where you turned around to come back over the bridge, there was a box on a tree, I am guessing that was a nesting box ?
@@garthf9609 yes that was a nesting box for small birds. I have a slight fear of heights like my wife as well just not quite as bad. As for swinging Bridges now they don't really bother me. Unless of course you're talking a car bridge, that is really high and swinging in the wind lol. As for the platform. If the stairs weren't see-through she would have gone up it. We really enjoyed this video so much so you have inspired us to give our local mini golf a go tomorrow. That though has to be the best mini golf course around, it looks new.
@@garthf9609 we are glad you enjoyed this. We really like mini golf a lot ourselves. We used to play it quite a bit during the summer. That is a nice place to play it. But we do have a few really good ones, not far from where we live as well. Have fun playing yourselves. It's always a great way to spend some time together...😎👍

Thank you both for the tour of your cabin site and the area around Clayton, what a beautiful area to vacation. Checked the prices at the 1000 Island Harbor Hotel, I see what you mean - expensive but it looks a really nice Hotel from what I can see. Like you we also prefer to stay in cabins when travelling. Interesting to see the large tour boats there, I guess they take you around the St Lawrence river and the Islands we could see, I take it you cannot take a boat trip over to Canada for the day ?
@@garthf9609 yeah, I told you that hotel was pretty expensive but nice. Yeah those are tour boats are pretty big for sure. But although I didn't get it on video. My wife and I finally seen the big freighters going through, two of them as a matter of fact. You could take a boat over to Canada, but you have to have a passport to get into the country. It never used to be that way. You used to be able to go over to Canada without a passport at all. They did not start requiring passports from us until 2009.
Guys will walk a couple miles out to ice fish. The edge can get melty when there's still a foot of ice out deeper. You'd be surprised what folks will do to fill a bucket with Oneida perch and walleye. This brought back memories for me - i took my kids there a couple times when they were young. Easy to find a cheap place to stay - not too crowded and always a good breakfast joint just around the corner. Cool to see it again.

Thank you both for the Zoo tour, looked to be in a really nice area. Yes recognized the Emu as soon as you pointed it out, you don't see them where we are near the city but we often see them in our travels inland. We see wallabies most days as we back on to a National Park. Yes Dingo's originate from here, we were recently on Fraser Island in QLD where they wander in numbers freely around everywhere. Agree with your sentiments about the bald eagle that was caged there. Have a great week both you, look forward to your next video.
Yes, it's a pretty good zoo and it's in a good location. As I said in the video. It's not really that big, but all in all it's pretty nice. We figured you would recognize some of the animals there. As always, thanks for checking out our video!

Wow that was a surprise to see Lizzie the Bearded Dragon at your place, really surprised the cat was cool with it walking around. My neighbors have one living under the back of their house, its mid winter here (about 19C during the day) so its in hibernation mode. Good to see you all hanging out there having fun, the sausage grill looked good as did the ice cream. No guessing then what we are having tonight. Have a great week.
Yeah we have two cats. They are used to her walking around. She pretty much ignores the cats also....ha. The food was good for sure! And spending time with some family is always a good time..😁
