That’s pretty shocking. I recommend meeting people in a group with a common agreed-upon set of values. Korea Toastmasters, KOTESOL, arts groups for expats (theater, improv, stand-up, live music…), and other places that bring out the professional in people. Don’t go there to meet someone but rather to grow oneself personally. The secret of meeting others is to meet people that can help your raise the bar of your best self.
