I had to walk away from the woman I've been with since 16 and the child I had with her at the start of this year. 8 years with somebody and then suddenly it's like they're a total stranger. I still have my boy once a week and he's the light of my life, but it also means I have to see her multiple times a week. I showed her slipknot years ago and they became her favourite band. Sometimes I sit and listen to this and just wonder what life could have been if we tried a little bit harder.

You do realize this song is about a mans obsession with a woman right? A physiological disorder. He was infatuated with a woman he wanted but could only have in his head. That's why he kept saying " She isn't real" because he was battle his own demons. Either that or he killed her and he is dealing with the mental consequences of that. Take your pick I guess. Everyone has their own interpretation.

Damn man, I feel like this song is about an image you ca have of someone that you're with that you can love so much but that van hurt you so much, so you keep making this image in your head of "one day she will be good" but then it doesn't happen, you just wanna see the change but you can't change her so then it gets to the point that you have to let go and realize that no matter what she says she won't be that image in your head......she's not real
