มุมมอง 8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
the fact that so many people are going through this right now is proof in itself that the 9 - 5 lifestyle has some serious problems. if you’re going through this, you’re not alone. i know for a fact that this happened for a reason. now i’m just letting the rest play out. pluto just entered aquarius and i have a feeling that’s going to change corporate america as we know it. The scary truth is that we only have one life. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind, but we forget that time is fleeting, and none of this will matter in a hundred years. That thought can be terrifying, but it also means you have free will. You get to decide what impact you want to leave on this world, so go on and make it! 0:00 now vs the future 2:27 no wasted time 3:27 you’re too com...

i know things i mentioned in this video may not seem like big triumphs, but when i reflect on my past year and where i was last July i would’ve never guessed these things would happen. i went to the ERAS tour?!?! i still can’t believe those are words i get to say. i used my passport for the very first time and went to GERMANY. i experienced beach life on the 4th of july! i’m so incredibly grate...
rethinking life and how 9 to 5 isn’t for me
มุมมอง 9475 หลายเดือนก่อน
i began filming this with no clear plans on where i was going with it. but i hope this can resonate with at least one person who is going through the same thing. life is too short. we should spend our time doing things we love.
the truth behind graduating college
มุมมอง 363ปีที่แล้ว
this video truly is for me to rewatch in 20 years to hear how i felt during this time. also, i meant to post this a couple of weeks ago but i got busy with other things like, idk, graduating college. :) for anyone watching this video and you’re about to graduate/just graduated college and you’re feeling a little lost, it’s okay. that is exactly how you should feel right now. no one can figure o...

i never understood when people would say we are each other, but through my current spiritual awakening i’m starting to understand this way more. we both live a life from our own consciousness. we make the mistake in forgetting that we all experience life the same way. we may have different opinions, thoughts, and beliefs. and we are all exposed to very different environments. but we all experie...
we’re running out of time
มุมมอง 129ปีที่แล้ว
time has been heavy on my mind lately. thinking about how i’m only promised a certain amount of years on this earth has really put into perspective how short time really is. i think a lot of people live as if they’ll live forever, but that’s not reality. the truth is, our time here is limited. how fast does that change things? to think that maybe you do not have forever to do all the things you...
Perhaps they wanted to prevent you getting vested which means having to contribute to your retirement and offer you better benefits.
Do you give money away to help people less fortunate than you like homeless people on the streets? You should. It is God that gives you the power to get wealth. When you give to the poor, you have lent unto the Lord and he will repay you.
Here is some insight some companies only plan to keep your certain amount of time like a cycle and they never tell you they’re wicked like that unfortunately
Hi there i already gave you a reply.
They would absolutely perfectly understand every single part of your experience because they are you
i'll save you if you save me
Great video and insights! I’d like to add a few thoughts of my own, which I’m probably writing as much for myself as for others. I am writing these thoughts because I don't have anyone to share it with, so I realized I will share it here, it might help someone. For most of my 20s, I felt lost, but approaching my 30s became a wake-up call. I’ve been having long, reflective sessions with myself, asking, What’s next? During these moments, I realized that I already know what I need to do to create a good life. However, I’ve also come to understand that it’s not just about identifying action items or creating to-do lists. Instead, it’s about finding meaning and purpose-my true compass in life. Once that’s clear, the actions will naturally follow. The real challenge, which I’m currently working on, is uncovering that deeper sense of meaning and purpose to live for. Another significant realization has been about death. People often feel uneasy when they hear this word, yet many seem to forget its inevitability. Our actions rarely reflect an acknowledgment of this fundamental truth. I was imagining how aliens might perceive us-if they didn’t know that humans eventually die, they might assume we’re immortal based solely on how we live. From our excessive overthinking, fear of the future, and endless dwelling on the past, an alien observer might ask, How can mortal beings live this way? That’s why I’ve started reminding myself regularly that I will die one day. I refuse to let the routines and distractions of daily life obscure that fact. For me, this awareness brings focus, urgency, and clarity to how I live and prioritize. Adding to your point about the journey being more important than the destination, I believe this can be achieved by aligning with a true meaning and purpose. To complement that, I focus on cultivating core values-principles that aren’t tied to a specific end goal but instead serve as a constant guide through every stage of life. Another powerful tool I’ve adopted is the lens of regret. Before making a decision, I ask myself: Will I regret this in the future? How deeply might I regret doing-or not doing-this? The more significant the action, the greater its potential for regret, making it an important consideration in my choices. Life is meant to be lived, not endlessly over-analyzed. What I’m trying to reconcile now is the paradox of our mortality and how we live as if we’re immortal. It’s a contradiction I’m still grappling with, but one that is helping me approach life with more awareness and intention.
🙏
Great video, great message thank you 🙏🏼
Only God Almighty can save us. Call on the Lord and be saved. John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
!!
20+ year techie. I've been laid off once from a big corporate last year who wanted to save money and I've been fired twice from startups, once early in my career because I messed a deployment that cost them some investment and the second time much much further in my career clashing with the CEO multiple times over technical decisions. I am in it for the long run so you learn to just get a roughneck and just roll with the punches. You become desensitised to it.
great video, thanks. we have to cease all doubts and not be afraid to succeed. I really needed this right now. I'm only steps away right now, and I have to not be afraid.
Aloha did good job on this video
Got laid off at 42 as a single mom now I'm 47yrs old earning $28,000 weekly, I have a house and a car, Just hit 1 million in retirement and $300k emergency fund. Started this journey literally a year ago, when i got laid off i thought my life was over😢but here I'm.
Hello How're you earning such weekly? sometimes I feel down on myself because of low finances, but I still believe in God
Thanks to Mrs. Elizabeth Regina Nelsen's time in my life, which had a profound impact on me.
Sounds familiar. I have heard her name on several occasions and read about her success stories in wall street journal!
Who's Elizabeth Regina Nelsen!?looking forward to this opportunity Can I also sign up from Ontario Canada?
She is really a good investment advisor. I was privilege to attend some of her seminars. That's how I started my own crypto investment.
You're so beautiful. God will help you. I believe.
God has better plan for you. He does not make mistakes. Take one step, He will take the next. Always thank God for ups and downs.
you know what people that get laid off don't say? that they worked hard. and that they love their job. it's always something else. meanwhile, people that want to work cannot get even a simple "no".
help me find remote work in the US. you can keep a cut as payment. EASY
Explain to me why everyone under 40 has it in their head that they have to "have a purpose" or "be inspired" at a job. A job/work is a simple exchange: your time and skills for money. Making it ANY more complicated than that is idiotic. All you people are doing are setting yourselves up for being miserable because you expect life to up here, when in reality, life isnt about that. This is why I mock people cause you all convinced yourselves of a fantasy and its biting you in the ass. Grow up folks. You're not kids anymore.
I got laid off at june ever since then, I implemented a detailed budgeting strategy, tracking every expense and setting clear spending limits across all categories. In just six months, I saved over $60,000, giving me a strong sense of financial security and the ability to invest in my future. This approach has transformed the way I manage money, and I now feel more confident than ever about achieving my long-term goals.
How did you manage to save up so much so quickly?
The strategy was all thanks to Lorrie Greta Hillard, a brilliant financial advisor. She helped me create a personalized budgeting plan, track my expenses, and prioritize savings effectively. Her expertise made all the difference in reaching my financial goals
Thanks for the tips! I was curious, so I did a little research and looked up the name.
So done with 9-5, its Depressing!
The system is crap and so is capitalism without guardrails. I hope everything works out for you Liz.
Better things on the horizon 🫶 Stay positive. Unfortunately, every Fortune 500 company I’ve worked for has had at least one mass layoff. Job security is a bit of a myth. Choose something you’re truly passionate about next 🙏🏻
Been self employed my entire life. Close to 65. Worked as an independent contractor for corporate America. I screwed them every chance I got! When I billed the crooks!
I felt fullfilled when I was making $35k/year with my job right out of college. I'm making $250k/year now, in the same field. My level of fullfillment didn't change with the increase in salary. I can't imagine myself being in a different profession than what I am in now. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose the same line of work 1000x over. The key is to love what you do and the co-workers around you. I've left jobs because either co-workers or management were sucking the life out of me, but never left the field. Find out what type of work drives you, not what drives humanity or social media. Be good at it. Be really good at it and money/fullfillment will come. Your co-workers are not your friends. They are there to do a job, like you. You don't need to find any personal connections with them to be fullfilled in your job. If you are looking for that then you are looking at the external forces to make you happy, not internal. I think too many young people are too idealistic about what work is. You're not there to save kittens and puppies. You are not there to make lifelong friends. In my line of work, I am endangered of getting laid off every 3-5 years. Sometimes, it happens. Sometime it doesn't, but the threat of getting laid off every 3-5 years is real. I don't look at it as a fault of humanity or corporate. I look at that as part of the program. We are no longer in a time period where you work at a company for 40 years, get a pension, and retire. Job movements, voluntary or otherwise, is part of the time. Embrace it and use it it to your advantage or sit home and mop about how stupid the world is.
*Liz you're young, it's not the end of the world. You can start making a living from social media, door dash ect. We live in an era where we can make our own money at our pace. Sending nothing but love.* ❤🙏
11/11, crazy energy on this day. This is a dragon year, perhaps it is an enemy year for you.
Alot of people are realising it after COVID. Not just you. Everyone needs a proper life plan without dependency on anyone for livelihood.
Try 8 to 4, you get home a little earlier to see your cats.
I’ll answer that for you, you’re crazy.
You're better than 9 to 5. Subbed
Kiddo, I work from one lay off to the next. That's why I'm building a liferaft with youtube and writing novels. Once I build that big enough, lay offs won't really matter. Find your side hustles (yes, more than one). It's your insurance policy against these things.
Then you need to believe that HE closed this door and is opening another one. Be patient and keep praying.
Hi there, I'm Catholic. As a Christian Id say God is just making it clear to you that the path you were on is not what God wants for you. I would view that as a blessing though it may not seem like it right now.
I am sure you will be fine. The US unemployment rate is low.
If you are looking for "genuine connections" in the workplace, you are barking up the wrong tree. Some companies have endless "team-building" exercises to make you love your colleagues more than your family. Don't fall for it. It is a paycheck...nothing more. Work friends is an oxymoron. It is neither good nor bad, it just is. Know this, and get on with your life.
This must be a lot harder for women because of the emotional attachment and emotional weakness in general
Hang in there Liz. There is always something positive to draw out of every situation, even the "bad" ones. Learn from it and move on. You will be just fine.
Exactly ! The system wants to keep you in the rat race ! Consuming at your limited free time , and working like a slave the rest. And always in debt, so you cannot escape, and the corporations have workers obeyable. That's is all over the world ! Middle class squeezed mentally and exhausted in every way ! We are not FREE, we feel trapped, and exhausted. And money is not enough to maintain a decent living. The biggest scam of our "civilization of western world" is that 40 hours work week was established some 100 years ago. And productivity of each worker was 1/10th of what it is now. BUT in spite of this FACT, after 100 years we STILL WORK MORE THAN 40 HOURS / WEEK , and with too much stress and responsibility. We are still SLAVES in a system which the productivity is x100 compared with that of 100 years ago. Isn't it the biggest SCAM of all time ?
Get married and focus on bringing children and housework. The value of a woman is to give life and making home ...
this made me laugh
@@elizabethjackson0 hope in a good way. The traditional family structures have worked for thousands of years. I am not against women working, just against it being their main/only focus and sharing the toxicity with us .
Now try to spirituality manifest another dream job. Watching this girl get a dose of reality, going through the stages of grief but not realizing that spirituality has nothing to do with your 9-5 is low key hilarious. Hope you bounce back though. Namaste.
if the idea of “spirituality” triggers you, this channel might not be for you
@ it’s definitely not for me. Like I said whatever helps you cope better, but using your spiritual intuitions regarding the corporate world gave me a good chuckle. 👌🏼
You can spritualize just about anything: any wins and any lose! Even no answer can be spiritualized. But we, as long as I've been alive, have no sufficient evidence for the claim. I think life happens I sincerely hope things get better for you though!
Your job is not your identity, see it as a way to make money and don’t take anything personally. And always remember, there is no such thing as a career anymore, they are all just fucking jobs with metrics.
I think you became complacent and comfortable in corporate and now disillusioned. You lost your way and forgot what and why. First, you get a 9 to 5 because you need the money to live in our system. Unless you are a trust fund baby, where will you get money to pay for your existence? In our system, you need to work x number of years to feed into a pension fund and social security so by age 65 you can stop finally working. If you want insulation from bring layed off, target and settle for a government job. Corporate jobs are all unstable because they move based on profit and losses. Or get a skill or profession that is necessary where you want to live, so you make money by yourself and be your own system. Relationships and friends are sustained by money. If you and your coworkers are layed off, who pays for the beer? Rent or mortgage. Its that simple. No money, no honey. I got laid off, too. I also got disillusioned. I don't want to work in the corporate system and get layed off again. It is heartbreaking to lose your job. Its like being expelled from family. I didn't get a job again. Instead, I build my own system. I dont work for money. I make money work for me. Instead of me working for a corporation to make them money. I make a corporation work for me to make me money. I don't work 9 to 5. I think 24/7.
My job and school were sucking my soul and I was putting off the things I really wanted to do. Now I am free. It’s scary and exciting simultaneously.
Thank you
Yes, you're correct. There's definitely a strong spiritual meaning to that, I mean think about it. There's 365 days in a year, meaning there's 364 other days when it could have happened 😳... Also, you're 100% correct about that as well. When I was finishing high School I already knew I would not be able to work for anyone else. So I spent all my time working towards being able to start my own business.
There is NO meaning...its the business cycle you ignorant .....please STOP trying to look for fantasitical reasons as to why or when normal things happen. It makes us all look bad. There is no divine, no plan, no gods, no devils....its just life.
I just got laid off Monday. Crazy how you video popped up in my feed. I am going to make a video now describing my story lol. It's almost your exact situation.
👀
I must be on the chopping block
Getting laid off is a blessing in disguise. People i know who got laid off moved on to better things.
💛
Maintain these connections with good people. Making money is a social activity. Stay in the game.
Employers are cold and employees are cold. Both are true.
