Hull Museums
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 พ.ย. 2014
We here in Kingston-Upon-Hull are rightly proud of our rich history and vibrant culture - we are after all UK City of Culture 2017. If you've never visited us, or maybe you have but a while ago, we think you'll be surprised or even amazed at what a fabulous place Hull is. Our museums are FREE and can rightly claim to be among the best in the North of England, if not the entire country. From the Streetlife Museum of Transport to the Hull & East Riding museum of archaeology, from Wilberforce House Museum (the birthplace of the famous abolitionist) to the Ferens Art Gallery (host of the Turner Prize 2017) we offer our visitors a guaranteed fabulous, fun and free day out!
Lionesses of Hull - subtitled
Lionesses of Hull is a project at Hull Museums which looked into the career of local footballing hero Carol Thomas, former England Women's Football Captain (1976-1985) and Flo Bilton, a hugely influential character in local women's football and the Women's Football Association until it was disbanded in 1993. The exhibition and film also explore the current state of girls and women's football in Hull and East Riding through interviews with local players and ex-players from the region from under 8s to open age and charity teams.

My Grandmothers mother worked for Madam Clapham.
Farming the land is hard work out in the sun. Most men aren't built for it these days. They want a cushy job at an air-conditioned office behind a table and screen

It's drugs over commonality TODAY
A few interesting things that you demonstrated that I'd never seen before. Never even seen the combined knife and awl in any reference books... Will definitely check the museum online archive as I'm looking to make up some medieval leather accessories shortly as part of an archers kit (as well as the variations used by crossbowmen)
OMG that's for this lovely edit I hope I can see you soon again
My family did a lap around Australia in an AEC Regal III
Please place the camera closer, even if that involves moving it. And please bump up the volume, perhaps a mike on your tunic. 👍
Really awesome. you make it look so easy.
This was really interesting and well presented. Thank you!
well done video and informative. Throwing pots on a stick wheel looks like back breaking work with the need to lean forward...
When is the Hull maritime museum open
I enjoyed it alot
Lovely video
Great video but now I wonder, where might I get a knife like that? Would love one for my own leatherworking.
Thank you so much, really helped me with learning for my archeology classes :)

You need a mic or a boom, we can't hear you
You make it look so easy but I know it isn’t and it requires mastery.
What a great video!! Thank you
love the information but I promise the background music is not necessary
hello
As of now it’s being readied for its new berth and museum.
Thanks Jim. You and the Trawlers and all the lads that sailed are absolute treasures. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Brilliant. Glad I found this vid. I’m reading Lovely She Goes by William Mitford about arctic-trawling aboard Arctic Fox out of Grimsby. I’ve read this at least 3 times and watching this vid really places you aboard. If I was close I would love to polish the brass unfortunately I live in Australia. Cheers
The sculptures and paintings all brown people 🤔
love the old sidewinders, good to see one being preserved
So In Life So In Death

Good man. I was 2nd Mate on the Admiralty Ocean Tug RMAS ROLLICKER during the Cod War and remember that incident as if it happened yesterday. Great fun Total Respect. 🇬🇧⚓️⚔️🇬🇧
