Happy for you bro. My dad did the same thing this past summer. We had a 1st gen Toyota Tundra and a 2020 Subaru WRX. We absolutely loved the WRX and it’s amazing during snowy days up here in South Dakota, but my dad’s daily commute of 130 miles round trip a day after he started a new job sucked with gas/maintenance. It would have been worse with the 13-16 mpg Tundra 😂 after doing the math with electricity rates ($0.09 per kWh all day) and slightly lower insurance rates with USAA compared to the WRX, it just made more sense to go with a Tesla as my dad’s primary commuter car. The tax credit, Tesla’s discount with inventory vehicles, the Veterans discount, and the 0% financing promo they had during the summer made the 2024 Model 3 Long Range AWD even cheaper than a new 2024 Subaru WRX base trim (and cheaper than a hybrid Camry and Accord that we also considered). It was a demo vehicle at a Tesla store with only 6 miles on it so with the inventory discount, veterans discount, and tax credit it came out to be just a little over $35k. That’s just hard to beat in today’s economy. Plus it was blue too so it’s a nod to our WRX. We were scared about getting an EV in a place where it snows often and gets so cold due to what we heard about less range when it’s cold, but the Model 3 has been a champ. Just set a schedule in the app to precondition the car every morning and it’s ready when my dad is leaving for work. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.

I agree with you that you are not going to convince people one way or the other politically, but, I have always found your political videos useful, even at time that I did not necessarily agree with the content. It is nice to hear from sane people. Many of us have shied away from discussing politics with friends and family for fear that they would judge us because we supported the scary orange man. A good example of this, is your perspective on the election is much different than mine. I am no where near as connected to god as you are. It is nice to see how different people parse information sanely. Regardless of what content you post, I will watch your videos till I get bored. I will also offer suggestions for improvements when I see them. You deserve way more than 1.1k subs. Keep up the good work young man.

I didn't know tesla offers a trade in service for any car you own, that's pretty cool! I thought you could only trade in other teslas.

front windshield 35 percent driver and passenger windows 20 percent and rear windows 5 percent the best for the day and especially at night you could still see 👀

Congrats man. I recently picked up my new car I decided to go with the gr 86 but I was also interested in the wrx especially due to the awd and power potential. But I'm more of a corner's guy plus I wanted a 2 door. But I got my gr 86 in the same color as your wrx.

Don't know if your dad is old enough but ask him sometime if he ever drove a 3 on the tree.. my uncle taught me how to drive a stick in his horse field when I could barely touch the pedals and see over the dash using one. I bunny hopped all over that field... precious memories.
