I used to be a parts delivery driver , that help in the littlest way ? Had to drive in bad weather sometimes , look for addresses , drop off and pick up light to heavy auto parts .

The USPS pay their carriers peanuts! It’s shameful! The pay needs to be much more! The unions are spineless and the contracts are laughable! My respect for the people that stay and make this a career!

Did the job for 30. Had a walking route for 15 in NJ.last 15 was lucky and had a mounted route.. Loved the job being outside all sorts of weather.The only thing was for basically 25 years I was constantly battling mgmt.These people who failed at being a carrier or clerk would put on a tie and become an absolute doucheag.It was ridiculous.Its a great job but. But beware of the bullshit you are going to have to live with .Thank god when I hit the streets great customers.

i HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEIR ARE some GOOD MAIL DELIVERY PEOPLE!!! THAT SAID I wonder where all the ballets from dead people are coming from??? Also am wondering why their are more ballots than the population of the country??? Then their is the cases of large piles of un delivered mail found in land fills around the country??? Someone is doing a poor job!!!! In non government jobs all across this country they fire people for that!!! Walking route is tuff walking in the rain,snow,dogs and your surroundings some people can’t do it! They always told me I was to slow casing the mail and carrying the route told them show me how to do it better said they couldn’t management suck right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing worked 40 years for them!

If you are a new Letter Carrier make sure to READ the National Agreement. Know your rights as you are under contract. Management will abuse and use you unfairly if they can get away with it.
