This channel is where I share some of my adventures and project with people who share the same interests. I live in Oregon and have a lot going on! I love to ski in the Cascade mountains, sail my 1977 C&C in the Puget Sound and my latest project is working on getting a 1978 Mercedes W123 300CD running as my daily driver.
I hope you enjoy watching these videos and if you have any comments I look forward to hearing from you.

I install a Retrosound stereo and new speakers in my 1978 Mercedes W123 300CD. The best part of the install was the fader and power antennae still worked.

Mercedes W123 1978 - Turn Indicator Fix
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The blinkers on my Mercedes W 123 300CD stopped working and I decided to refurbish the one I have. I found a few replacement switches on-line, but they were expensive and not refurbished. I found this tutorial on-line and this is the result. www.benzworld.org/threads/1978-thru-1981-turn-signal-hazard-flasher-repair.2206473/

Mercedes W123 Coupe- Installing New Carpets

My carpets finally arrived and in this video I install them. The job was much easier than I anticipated, although I did have an extra 3 pieces at the end. Thanks for watching and if anybody knows where those pieces should have gone let me know.

Mercedes W123 Coupe Painting Rusty Battery Tray
มุมมอง 5983 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I tackle the rusty battery tray. My goal is to fix all the leaks so when the new carpets come they aren't ruined by more water. Sorry for the bad video quality and sound, I'm an amateur videographer, editor and car restorer.

nice job...same issue with my 82 300D ...junk original speakers going into trash, rarely see women working on cars.
Many thanks for the vid. I have an 85 Coupe. Did my rears today but did not remove them. Just reached in and cleaned n lubed. But on the fronts, I want to pull the whole thing. I need to replace the glass on the drivers door as mine is scratched. And, I want to get them sliding easily and smoothly. Thanks for the info. Nice car!
Glad it helped!
Very good.. Thank you..!
U don’t explain right
Bring it to al welder you fucked up the Mercedes 😢
Great video and good job! I'm about to try this myself but I am super curious on what the material was that you were "painting on" the gears and moving bits (technical terms I know), and where might I find some?
Have you figured out how to align the front and rear glass?
Stupid!
How much were the carpets? If you don't mind my asking.
I believe around $700
@@rachelgame Thanks
Rachel, I'm very impressed. U fixed a problem & did not run away.
Thank you for sharing this
This girl should have been my wife! :D
❤️
Hi! How did you order it and how much was it? I need to buy new ones for my Mercedes 1983. Thank youu
Where are you from
great video. Too bad I could barely hear it.
Best of luck! Cute cat!
Hi, did you get it back 🤞
Sorry to hear. You've put so much work into your vehicle. As a driver of a 1995 Honda Civic, I put two air tags inside the vehicle as a sort of "poor man's Lo Jack".
Jesus I need a woman like that to help me with my w126.
What!? Who on earth needs to steal a 300?
Drug addicts. A place to crash and shoot up. And they are easy to steal. I’m so bummed.
@@rachelgame can you tell me the size of capacitors you replaced on mother board of the emergency flasher module?
Sorry to hear about your stolen car
Sorry to hear that. I enjoyed your 300CD videos - hope it turns up okay.
Beautiful video

Thank you!
I did it and it worked 🥳🥳🥳
👍thank u r a clever girl ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video!!! Very helpful!!! God bless you!!!

I miss the Pacific NW. Thank you for sharing the sights.
Great cars!! I have a 300D and a 300CD. You should do more videos on the car.
Hi Jason- Thanks, I'm really liking driving my car as a daily driver. This summer I'll continue doing some work on her, maybe fix the sunroof. IDK.. seems like a huge job! Do you drive your 300CD regularily?
@@rachelgame I just bought my 300CD and it’s a project. I do drive my 1983 300D daily and it’s been my daily driver for about 4 1/2 years. I know quite a bit about these cars and I work on classic Mercedes on the side so if you ever have any questions let me know.
You're doing a fine job there madam.
Nice coupe, came model and colour as mine :D Would love a radio like that :)
I mean great job
ممتاز 🌹
Hello Rachel, do you have a supplier for parts in your country? Still looking for electrical windows lifters for the back
Hi Leon, I've been purchasing some parts from Pelican Parts and E-bay. Also some parts from Europe.
Thanks Rachel. This is very helpful.
hola muy interesante me ha sido de gran ayuda
Que bien! mi motivo en haciendo estas videos es para ayudar a otros con sus W123. Suerte!
Hey! That was a nice video! What’s the exact name of that radio? I would like to upgrade mine, but want to keep the vintage look of the interior. :)
Thanks! The stereo I bought is the RetroSound Hermosa M2A. If you go to Crutchfields you can also find the speakers that will fit.
If you have the old Becker Radio, keep it! You can check out this bluetooth adapter. I bought it for mine and am very pleased with it: creativecaraudioshop.com/shop/ols/products/xn-becker-radio-europa-mu-599485-612-bluetooth5-o3b0-streaming-w-6-pin
@@Joseph-uu1cf unfortunately when I purchased my coupe it did not have any radio installed. That is very cool you found that adapter, had I had the original radio I too would have kept it.
เยี่ยมเลยครับ
Great !!! was looking for those kind of tuts because i m restauring my 230 ce. Do you have also ways to take the glass off? on coupé it's so hard !!!
I didn’t need to take my glass out but I was also thinking it would be hard if it needed to come out. But then I guess the only reason to remove it would be because it’s broken, I’m which case you would not have to be gentle. Good luck!!!
Nice! I have a 1984 w123 I love these cars!
Nice, where do you order new carpet?
@@senthooran25 bro my car was in very good shape inside and out when I got it. I didn't have to change anything thankfully. I'm living in Germany so these cars are not to hard to find
@@senthooran25 I got the carets from World Upholstery. I think the quality is #1!
I'm impressed!!!
I think I shocked myself when it worked.
Looking good!!!
Well done. BTW when I'm working on my windows in my W123's and need to keep the glass from falling down on me I pull the window up to the top and use good tape to keep it from falling. This may not work as well in the Coupe's as your glass isn't 'framed' by the door. Also you can place a piece of wood inside the door to block the window up while you're working on the guts or need to secure the car. Nice car, too.
Yeah- no frame on the coupe window/door. But luckily it didn’t break. Good luck!
Nice Blue interior just like mine but its a 4-door
Terrific work! Looking forward to seeing more of your exquisite w123 coupe!
Thanks! I'll keep posting videos as I tackle more jobs. Its been fun getting her back on the road and driving her again.
Congratulations ! I know how hard it can be to work on those regulators. I would recomend you taking the regulator out in order to adjust it. There is a stop on the regulator and that might be the reason it douesn't want to go all the way down.
Thanks for the tip. I don’t have the rear panels installed again yet … maybe I’ll pull the regulator and have a look. After fixing my front window I’ve got a bit more confidence.
Looks great!!!
Thanks!
Another job, well done!!!
Thanks for the encouragement!
@@rachelgame I have an 84' 300D sedan, lots of work!!!
