Thanks for watching the review and the comments. I lowered it a very long time go but from memory I went with the SL they are Pedders springs and I left the standard shock absorbers on. I think they were roughly 20-30mm lower than the standard suspension (FE2). Any lower and you would have problems over speed bumps At the current height I have not had any issues eve with a 3 inch exhaust system.

Yeah they could of done a better job of that. I have had to disconnect it anyway as there was a issue with it that started draining the battery when parked.

Couldnt agree more on the dual screens.

Some people love it and are buying 2024 just for those screens. I’m waiting for 2025. Hopefully I like it ;)

The Australian versions have an option available for Akrapovic exhaust which this one had.

​@@1Humanoid what year model. 2021 model and above has it. Are you saying that the base model has it and the Elite model doesn't? Thats odd. The elite model has an upgraded larger screen. So they upgraded it and REMOVED the wireless apple car play. So odd

Yeah this is an Australian model with the red trim a standard option in this variant.

Quite a shame really this car really couldve really been something with a v6 twin turbo.

Holden quoted it as 5.7 secs though some did run 5.5 secs in certain reviews. This particular one is modified and will do it well under 5 seconds.

Nice setup Scott. I also considered at one stage converting mine to manual and dropping the LS3 engine in.Wwould you consider an LS3 conversion instead of the LS2? As the LS3 is a stronger engine.

You think this is bad. There are dealers advertising brand new essence X for sale for 39990 you think you are getting a deal then you see the pic of the car and that there's no AWD badge. WTF? They are stock essence FWD 1.5 litre.

Only complaint for me is that a turbocharger or two for the V6 models would've been awesome. Particularly the VXR.

Yeah I know it's not that bad. But one of daily drives is an Audi SQ5 and that's got a twin turbo V6, 3.0 litre and gets similar figures and can do 0-100km/h 5secs. So a little 1.4 litre could do bit better.

@@WhatsTheCarLike more like 8.7lph as per Audi’s the official claims. If you are getting 6.6 then bottle it.

@JJ Woody, It depends on which SQ5 variant you are looking at. In the US the original SQ5 was a supercharged petrol , while everywhere else it was sold with the diesel engine. That variant was rated a combined 6.8L/100km. The 2017-2020 models came out with the petrol engine then the more recent models have moved back to diesel engines. I have the diesel engine and on long highway drives its not unusual for me to record 5.8L/100km. In the city, it's obviously higher than that.

Thanks for the comments Jim. Congratulations on your new purchase. The car was a rental so not mine, but I thought it was good especially if you consider its price. One of the things that was not so great is the wireless Apple car play feature, which constantly dropped out. But in saying that I have not tested any other wireless car play systems so it could just be the technology in general not just limited to the i30.

@@WhatsTheCarLike There is a way to make it wired and totally reliable. There is an engineering mode that can be accessed to set that up. I have ordered the same car also in blue.
