iTSimulation: Simulated Dual Pathway Bypass of Aortic Arch
A blood flow evaluation report comparing a stenosis aorta before and after simulated surgery.
The report was created using iTSimulation, a contract analysis service by Cardio Flow Design utilizing computation fluid dynamics.
Highlights:
- Pre-Surgery: Severe aortic arch coarctation
- Post-Surgery: Stenosis relieved shown in iTSimulation
- Boundary conditions remain unchanged
- Flow Rate: 1.63 L/min pre-surgery; 1.72 L/min post-surgery.
- Wall Shear Stress: High pre-surgery; decreases post-surgery.
- Energy Loss: High pre-surgery; decreases post-surgery.
- OSI show reduced turbulence and stress
- Blood energy loss reduced from 94.5 mW to 81.7 mW
