100% this was my favorite movie of 2023 and Da'Vine Joy Randolph's Academy Award was well deserved. I will ALWAYS hold out that Paul Giamatti should have won Best Actor.

I remember hating this movie when I was a sophomore in high school because we watched it in English class and my name is Dalton. Everyone called me Nuwanda for the rest of the semester. Of course, now I'm older and have watched it many (MANY) times since and it's one of favorite movies. Absolutely Top 5 of Robin's movies.

I am a teacher to 18 students in high school. Everything I aspire to be as a teacher stems from this movie. From that man, the captain himself. I always wanted to be a teacher to help students like teachers helped me, but when I watch this movie it helps ignite a passion in me. It's awesome, love this movie and the symbolism that comes with it. Also the direct up in your face consequences. It's so... poetic. Great guide for teachers to come back and evaluate their teachings on One of my all time favorite movies, and even though it ends in tragedy, a comfort movie. Great reaction! The chemistry between Ryan and Emma is one of those on-screen chemistry that rarely appears in the movies. The two are reminiscent of old Hollywood duos, like Bogart and Bacall, who were absolutely iconic partnerships. And what is most impressive, and puts them at the top of contemporary duos, is that they are both talented in drama, comedy, dancing, singing... I have never seen a contemporary duo complement each other as much as they do. I consider them soulmates on screen. I hope we see more films of them together in the future besides the three they did, for me three is not enough for such iconic chemistry 😁

seems pointless to watch a film that you've already seen, and to not make that clear from the outset - what's the value of this reaction? Ypu've already seen it. You guys need to think through what you're actually doing, and why.

I agree. I stopped giving ratings to movies because I reached a point where as I was watching the movie, I was constantly thinking 'Is this a 3 star or 2 star movie?'. Completely ruined my experience. Nowadays I just log movies, and if I enjoy it, I give it a like.

I just started watching this, so I'll revise as I go through it, but I feel like the way you spoke at the beginning about someone feeling like their opinion is wrong because other people had a different review was kind of oxymoronic. Do people actually think this way? Like I'm an outlier, I thought the last guardians of the Galaxy movie was a two out of five at best. Just because other people clung to the emotional parts more than I did doesn't mean that I should change my review, I feel like a video on conformity following up this one can be beneficial if this video is going the way I think it is.

Pluses for Dvds, and Blurays are no buffering bs if the reception is bad, plus cool extras, and good films don't get taken out of your library periodically do to Netfix or Hulu or any other streaming platform not really wanting it for whatever stupid reason. Hell Netflix only has some decent shows, and movies usually, the movies aren't really that many, and The originals usually aren't very good. So both have draw backs, but for collectors especially it's mostly about physical.

I've spent a couple thousand dollars collecting physical media this year. CDs, VHS, DVDs, BluRay, 4K. Also bought a bunch of PS3, PS2, PS4, 360 games.

I very rarely buy DVDs now because they are just clutter and take up to much space.
