Camping @ Pillsbury State Park, NH
มุมมอง 7หลายเดือนก่อน
My husband went "primitive" camping with me at Pillsbury State Park in NH. The park calls it primitive because there are no hookups at any of the sites. There are water bubblers at various locations, as well as, outhouse style bathrooms. I believe there are also a set of bath houses, however, we decided not to bother showering... we didn't care if we were stinky, LOL. The park was really clean,...
Oh Deer, watch her neck! Is this normal?

This deer visits my backyard often. Today she got up close and personal with the trail cam. Watch her neck when she swallows... is this normal? Let me know what you think below in the chat. She is so very beautiful! I edited this video with Clipchamp. I don't add or change anything, I just put all the video snippets together.
Tuthill Woodlands Preserve Trail
มุมมอง 212 หลายเดือนก่อน
A 1.4 mile loop trail in New Boston, NH through previous farmland that has since grown wild. Loads of original stonewalls, old-time stone foundations, along a beautiful winding trail that will give you a small workout, but mostly just a gentle, calming walk in nature. According to the app "Seek", the odd looking berries in the video are called "White Baneberry". They are nicknamed "Doll Eyes" b...

Hobblebush & Mill Pond Trail Hike on New Year's Eve Day
มุมมอง 7910 หลายเดือนก่อน
I short but wonderful solo hike on New Year's Eve Day. Wanted to send 2023 out on a positive note. There were a few challenges throughout the year, and that's how I chose to handle them, as challenges, not negatives. We can either learn from our experiences or we can let them devour us, I choose to use them as tools to make positive changes, plus I love a good challenge! I get asked fairly ofte...
2023 Bee Cool eBike Explorer Unboxing, Assembly, & 1st Ride
มุมมอง 221ปีที่แล้ว
My hubby decided to get an ebike, and he loves it, but the top tube was very high and I could not stand up when stopping. I ended up falling over in the driveway and almost crashing off the trail because I couldn't hold the bike up (they are about 75 pounds without any baggage). So, I found the Bee Cool eBike Explorer and couldn't be happier!! The top tube curved so I can easily stand, and the ...
Building a Pergola Gazebo by myself!
มุมมอง 87ปีที่แล้ว
I finally decided to build myself a Pergola, for now, it will become a Gazebo in the spring. It mostly went well, with only a few snafus... the screws that came with the brackets were for cement, so I had to go to the hardware store for bolts, and the posts were heavier than I thought they would be, so I needed some assistance getting the higher ones set. Overall, I'm super happy with it, and v...

Quad ride over the river and through the woods
What a great idea! Thankyou for this superb tip 😊
Did you just say that if you're under 18 to have an adult help you use a lighter?
Everyone says pistachios aren’t good for dogs, but my puppy loves them.
Looks like a healthy doe to me.
I love watching her, so graceful.
I watched your Clostnature video and enjoyed it and this is even better! Thanks
Awesome, thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed them :)
Great video,thanks!
Glad you liked it! 😃
@@happinessishealthnature4370 I ended up purchasing the orange version however I regret not choosing the green. The 3 person might do better for two people.
thank you so much for this video :) I've got the same backpack as you and mine came without the cord too.
Glad I could help! Happy hiking :)
Under 18?😂
Haha! I know, but I had to say it 🤣
Excellent thank you so much for this. More than helpful. Atb Andy H 👍
Best video on this website. Hands. Down. Thank you for your service to this great nation. Love, DWs
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good video. Thanks
I've just got a good second hand rucksack but it has frayed cord and was about to replace it .. just thinking though that it might be very "catchy" if it's put through an airport + all the luggage machinery? I've flown often with a rucksack and very carefully do all the straps so nothing is loose that can catch. Might want to remove this cord temporarily when flying? [I've lost a strap off a rucksack before years ago when I was less careful, now I've an eye for danger!]. Maybe .. ok if you did it all up tight perhaps and tucked the length of spare under the top.
I rarely fly so I’ve never dealt with that, hope it works out well for you!
Excellent video - exactly what I needed to add a cord to my daypack. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
That is not paracord - it’s bungy cord or stretchy cord et al.
The actual type was a bit confusing as the description said “West Coast Paracord Bungee Elastic Nylon Shock Cord”. Guess it’s the best of all the cords, LOL 😂
Excellent and well thought out!
Thank you :)
Boats often have net storage pouches, with elastic shock cord around the edges. Such a net could be used here, I'm sure.
That’s a great idea too!

It is a review, but I really like this chair, it’s awesome, I use it a lot. I’ll be making more videos with it when I go backpacking. 😎
You have a very good and excellent video, I hope you will always be successful and victorious. I also post videos from the beautiful country of Turkey, if you like, come and watch. ❤❤
Black Bears mostly hibernate in winter some times they will not if it is warm and plenty of food.😊😊😊😊
Thanks for the info! I’ll stay aware on the trail just in case then.
Nice walking trail I also like your coat.😊
It’s a great little hike, thank you!
Overall a very good tip. Don't confuse para cord and shock cord. They are not the same. Para cord has no elastic. Its very useful for many things. Many backpackers use it for many tasks and it comes in handy quite often. Shock cord is what was used on the pack and you usually see it holding your tent poles together. Good idea and good video.
Thanks for the explanation, I always appreciate learning the correct terms and usage. Although I laugh at myself and my inexperience all the time, I don’t want to sound like a cotton-headed ninnymuggins, LOL.
Good one ! That's why all what you need on a backpack 😁 When you start with those customs, you don't see the bags the same way 🤭🤭🤭👍👍👍
Yes, when it’s tailored to your needs, it becomes a far more efficient and joyful experience.
The six tie downs makes it perfect for a diamond hitch, try that, you wont go back.
Thanks for the tip!
Really nice looking bike 😊
Thanks, it’s so much fun riding Archie (my nickname for her is Archangel since she’s all white and gets me through tough spots, LOL. I went overnight stealth camping and she held everything I needed, transported me easily through the woods, and the battery meter barely moved through the entire trip! I’ll be posting that video soon ;)
You can also cross over the two bottom straps (this may require them to be unthreaded and rethreaded). Diagonally, so the cross over.
That’s definitely another good idea!
Nice Bike
Thanks! I like it a lot!
Brilliant! Thank you.
It is very easy to understand. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful 🥰❤️
This worked great, thanks! Works on tea stains as well. :)
Thanks! Newbie here. This was really helpful in adding shock cord to my Flash 55. It looks great. I'm going to add the water bottle holder as well. Are you going to eventually do a video on the "tick thing" mentioned about 1:32?
I’m thinking about it, I love the tick remover, I use it almost daily, those little buggers are everywhere in NH!
thank you this is great!
Water bottle hack is genius , it deserves a video of its own
Haha! Thanks, it comes in handy ;)
What are they even used for
Carrying items ;)
This is great, something I wouldn't have thought of. And so easy.
Thank You, for the very good video, it consolidated my opinion on the present I am getting my graduating my grandson -the Osprey Rook 65L backpack!
Lucky guy! He’ll love it 😃
Thanks for the informative video. I have been looking for a backpack that has the loops putting the cord through on the pack, but I am not even sure if there is a specific name for the loop tabs (that i can search for specifications on a pack). I even checked on Osprey website but haven't noticed this feature on a variety of there packs (except an old video review of a pack that is no longer listed for sale).
Brilliant. Thank you.
I came for the content, stayed for the thong.
for the longest time i had no idea what those cords are for. finally decided to search about it and stumbled on this video. thanks for the knowledge
Thank you 😀for the great video. I love how the cord matches the color of the cord. Where did you buy the toggle and the cord?
Thanks! Glad you liked it 😃 I bought them both on Amazon, but if you search online you can most likely get it from other vendors, too.
Great vid ,love if your under 18 ...lol to good
Can you tell me if you or 2 people can sit on small backpack chairs inside the actual tent( keep bugs out) or also under that canopy?
I’ve never put chairs inside the tent, however, I would say 1 chair would fit comfortably, 2 quite possibly, especially if they are short. Only 1 would fit under canopy. Thanks for watching!
Great video
Hello, thank you so much, I've been looking at the 1.5 model (because I use an ultralite cot and I don't think it would fit in the 1 person) and I was wondering if you can tell me how waterproof this is? I've seen a couple videos claiming a few drops got through some of the seams, have you tried this one in rain? Also if you know how well it holds up in strong winds when staked in? Thank you for the video, I couldn't find a whole lot of reviews on this brand.
I never ended up waterproofing my tent, and it hasn’t leaked yet, but waterproofing any tent is a good idea. I have been in a couple of rain storms, one with very high winds (yes, I had it staked out), and this tent withstood it all! I was quite amazed, because at the low price point ($89) I thought it might not be sturdy, but it truly is. When I first bought it I figured I’d get a “better tent” (aka expensive) down the road, but this one is durable and reliable, so I can’t see spending money for a new one. I’m not out on the trail every weekend, so I can’t tell you how it does with nonstop use. Hope this helps. Happy camping!
@@happinessishealthnature4370 thank you so much, that's really helpful :)
I actually did the same with mine, but I did many more connections between the loops (vertically, as well as extras horizontally on the top and middle, instead of only on the bottom). I had a ton of shock cord, so I saw no reason not to have extra. It's maybe a little less aesthetically pleasing, but it was great for hanging two sets of dirty gators, my jacket, and wet laundry over the course of my 8-day hike with my Rook 65. Almost as good as if it had just had a mesh sleeve there from the start, like it really ought to have had.
That’s awesome! I considered doing more too, but this was all I ended up needing. You should do a video showing how you laced your cord ;)
Omg she strapped than a mug. (She is extremely well equipped or armed)
Gotta be prepared for anything 😉
Where in New Hampshire?
Ferrins Pond is in Weare. It’s wonderful hike.
Is there a loop in the center of the ceiling of the tent that a portable fan could be hung from?
Yes! I usually hang a light from it ;)
Just ordered this, hope it keeps me cool in summer time
The base tent is mesh, and with the vents open and the doors staked out on the 2nd layer it’s always really comfortable. Enjoy your camping trip!
Im interested in this one. Are you still happy with your purchase?
@@swervedriver5260 ended up getting another tent and its 75% mesh, one side is blocking air and wind by not much but enough to make difference
@@swervedriver5260 Yes, it meets all my needs, it’s a terrific tent.
