Wow these women sure do look like guys! Amazing band
I love this song so much
God bless alberta
I loved this band. Hope to grip the physical tape some day
How have I never seen this? I've watched the Shaking Hand performance from this show like 100 times This is such an amazing discovery I was there that night <3
Back when this festival was about giving musicians a chance to play and not about handing money out to queers and brown people
Pat is nonbinary and performs as a drag queen. Good luck in life, you sound like you're doing great :)
speaking of queers check out what patrick flegel (on the right) is up to now lol
jackass
Frustrates me so much how they never got to be a big deal. Like how can anyone watch this and not decide it's the coolest white boy music in history??
This band was SPECIAL. Pat one of the best guitarists.
They are all great.. but pat was the magic to me
that prick at the end clapping to the odd timing. That would fuck me up so much if I were on stage.
So sick they’re playing this upstairs
the best band there will ever be
This song truly is a masterpiece. Great to see it played live! Thanks Phil!
WHY IS THE DRUMMER SO SMALL
He’s bigger now
AAAAAAAAAA
Rip Chris. This was one of my favorite bands in college. Turns out I didn't need "baroque pop" or post-rock or New Weird America anymore when this came out.
pat was really feeling it at the end
hidden gem
seeing people pass by out the window on the closeups of pat is crazy
Still the greatest second half of a song ever written.
Thanks for the awesome video Phil!
this is insane. Amazing music. great video. love the foot pedal view from the neck of the guitar
I’ve come from the aether
i miss whitey houston
God bless you for posting this, a special moment in history
I was there and I'll never forget. You can even see my messy, curly hair in the crowd
what is this song called?
Legendary performance
Not yet familiar with Upstairs but I was so delighted to hear Sag Harbor Bridge afterwards, it's likely my favourite from the album
Chris's cheeky grin tho
how
so good ;(
:/
Why did they shrink their drummer?
girl in the front left is vibing hard
Solo with a broken string!!!
sick
love**
pat breaking a string halfway through their most difficult track to play wallace mouthing the lyrics while slamming the everloving fuck out of his floor tom matt with the oprah bass doing his leg bounce thing reimer showing 0 emotion as he shreds like a madman this perfomance perfectly encapsulates the band
you can see how he inmediately adapted the song when he broke the string, he is a great guitarist
That is just marvelous guitar work and songwriting. This band had such a huge impact. Reimer was a true innovator.
It was a magical time for me to experience live music in the city of Calgary, and they were a big part of it. <3
Wait how did pat even play that riff with a broken string. incroyable
Splendid stuff especially the tiny wee drummer.
DIE JUNGS EINFACH KLASSE

@@geistrich194 ICH SAGS WIES IS: GENIAL
BOMBASTISCH GUT
those are some tight pants
Back in 2009 the tighter your pants the cooler, more indy and better at guitar you were.
tight pants, tighter riffs, tighter performance
Why the Aussie flag tho?
Because its a great country.
Filmed at the #1 Legion Hall in Calgary
@@formerlyskidsinmyute No, I mean, I'm Australian. Just trying to wrap my head around why it's up in a Calgary music venue.
Phil Jukes because it's a Commonwealth country?
@@imnotkevinbrennan5955 fuk da commonwealth
fucking love this recording so much
is this the only recording of this song
No
3:50 is just pat staring into your soul lmao
He blinks at the beggining of each measure lmao
🔥🔥🔥
This performance rocks the house!! I insist on a repeat show on my next visit.
this is upstairs and sag harbor bridge!
holy fuck this sounds amazing
