Yeah. I asked Atlas Support about him when it happened and they confirmed he was banned. I didn't ask for any more details beyond that, as I felt it important to protect the confidentiality between him and Atlas Reality. Who knows? He may have created a new account by now.

Well, it really depends on how badly someone spoofed, but that's just my opinion. I can tell you that even if I hadn't ever spoofed and wasn't a whale player, I wouldn't have cared about small-scale spoofers at all because I'm focusing on my own progress at the moment.

Splitting hairs it's like saying "I only stabbed him a little bit officer... not as bad as others have done it so you should let me get away with it." But that's my opinion

@boonwolf9266 it doesn’t matter what I think anyway, as we aren't allowed to do things like spoof anymore, but it was only a problem if a spoofer was focused on taking mayor/governor titles from local players. Otherwise, spoofing for a parcel was just like buying any other parcel. Early on, if I could spoof, so could anyone else. That's why I don't think it's as bad as many players say it is. Also, your example on the stabbing doesn't really make sense here: there's a difference between breaking laws out in "the real world" and breaking rules in a game. Also, even a few stabs can be life threatening, while spoofing a bit doesn't really harm the game.

@@Artorias2718 laws are just rules made by governments instead of corporations. Personally spoofing AE I don't see as a major game breaker since there aren't landmarks yet and no attack defense or hostile takeovers although it could possibly in a way impact the community. Geo games are ment to get people outside and explore the world, that's the only thing I have against spoofing. On the other hand games like Ingres are broken because of spoofing onto restricted properties the capture landmarks.

@boonwolf9266 I get what you're saying, but all I'm saying is that the degree of abuse is the biggest factor here. It's too bad they just straight up said no to spoofing altogether, especially given all of the bugs the game has encountered before that mess up players when they visit a location that's far from home, but I can also understand that adjusting for edge cases may be difficult depending on what they're working with, so perhaps that was the easiest way to deal with any spoofers who took it way too far. Believe me, I was honestly just as pissed with BoostingWzrd as everyone else, and I'm willing to bet he's 99% the reason why they went against spoofing, 1% being to ensure other players don't leave the game due to trust issues about fairness. Good thing they finally got rid of him.

Well, if you can risk this much, I'd say it's worth it.

It required a free GPS joystick app. Then, you would just enable a few permissions and it enabled you to move around freely.

@NERYBO69 that's why I spoke in past tense. Ever since October/November 2023, Atlas Reality has been monitoring players with Shield.com, a third-party AI-based tool, as well as other custom functionality, to warn/ban players who are violating their terms. It sucks because I wasn't out to harm the game, but for better or worse, the haters won, so we can't do stuff like that anymore...

I can tell you right now that Stealth would be gone by now if he was spoofing. In case you haven't heard, RainbowUltra was recently caught GPS Spoofing and his account was banned. Luckily for him, he was allowed to tell them about how he evaded their spoofing detection so they can patch any loopholes he identified, and in return, they gave him back all of the ABs he purchased onto his new account. But they are definitely serious about cracking down on anyone who violates their Terms, so them not banning Stealth means he is either legit or hasn't been caught yet.

Believe it or not, credit cards helped me get most of my ABs. I've spent about $100k or so in total and have made almost $4k so far in total. I've been reinvesting most of it so far so I can get to my goal of $5/day with constant boost (I'm currently at $4.40/day) As for breaking even, it would take forever if I just used Atlas Earth. I'm thinking it'll probably take me at least 10 years or so, but hopefully within the next 5 years I can grow my stock and Landa income so that happens sooner than later.
