@@345ssss Yes! I love Taiwan baseball culture, I've been following the series between the Lions and Brothers. I actually went to the final regular season Brothers game in Taichung and filmed, that I haven't released yet. And earlier in the season I saw the Hawks in Kaohsiung video is up. 3 games in one season be so fun.

Yeah you should get up there, staying off the lake was a much better experience and make sure you get the electric assistance bike because some crazy hills. I liked Alishan a bit better though with the old trains and hiking.

@@katherinelaw5743 Yes, I'm lucky I got to go to the original location just before they moved. I tried to go again about a month later but the new place was getting remodeled and not ready yet. Thanks for the info. Such nice people, I wish them luck.

@@keangwooichoo6138 I used a phone, not really into having equipment or taking things to serious with this films. They come out not bad though I think. 😃 Some GoPro underwater video of being right next to the sea turtles would have been awesome though.

@@keangwooichoo6138 yeah, that's true, but really I was surprised for a different reason. Europeans usually go to Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, even India where I been and seen tons of them.. Which are also cheap, this seemed a little more off the beaten path, but I was surprised so many people know about Tioman.

@Rayza82 Malaysian islands are still hidden from the world. So it is not so crowded for visitors. Yes westerners prefer thailand, Vietnam, bali. While malaysia attracts east Asians eg Koreans, Japanese, Chinese.

Thanks! It is my 5th time in the country, one of my favorites in the world, but the first time to incredible Tioman. Can't beat that blue water and chill vibes.

@Rayza82 as far as I know Daintree is 180m years old Borneo lowland is 140m years old Peninsula jungle is 130m years old. Malaysia is more a tropical rainforest.

@Rayza82 your knowledge of tropical trees surprised me. Yes they normally will die at 100 years old. Rarely above 300 years old unlike california's redwood giant trees

@@henrykhoo5129 thanks for the feedback. Indonesian big cities are pretty loud with random motorbikes, people rustling around... I just make these videos for fun so I kind of just hit record with minimal editing. Regardless it was incredible to go here and learn about this history. Hopefully you still got something out of it. 👍

I just was releasing a part 3 video about that actually, funny you just mentioned that, I'll drop the link here. The Ming Dynasty closed off to the outside world and stopped their international connections sadly for them that opened up the region to European colonization. The Portuguese stepped in former Ming aligned areas in India like Kochi and Malacca and the Dutch came into Java.

Wow, I did not know that, thanks. I had a conversation with locals before how it's also associated with the city because of the amount of Tamils that migrated to the region in the past. I been to India and the sauces are very similar, maybe there's a double meaning. Good cheap eats regardless. 👍

Hello, thanks for your thoughtful comment. And no I don't get too involved in politics, I know that region is a hot topic for many. I did see the cemetery! Many beautifully carved headstones, maybe up to 100 are still standing. With carved diagrams of the jobs of the people on them and Cyrillic writing with another script, I wasn't familiar with if I could remember. I was honored to be there and to visit this place, a village of my friend, who took me there and helped release this video. He is Armenian and did express the history of the village being Azerbajani and how he thought it is wrong 10 or so of the headstones had been toppled by vandals. I thought some of the footage of the cemetery got into the video, this was over 2 years ago so I forgot.
