@@russm5358 you are speaking the truth! Very clean with only some submerged vegetation. The entire pond is accessible by human-powered crafts. Hopefully, I get to try it out before getting iced out 🥶 thank you

That was more than likely a white perch because if it was a white bass it would have had black stripes on it. Nice video a nice little place you got to fish there I hope you post some more and more often.

@BlackHeron89 Do you have a species in mind? Depending on how big their mouth is. I use smaller lures with smaller treble hooks if I need to. I have other videos using UL lipless crankbait, minnow jerkbait, and small jigs. I catch sunfish, crappie, bass, perch, trout... Thank you 🙏

@billydee1879 thank you. I've been testing out drag tensions. I believe I was more concerned that if the drag was too tight, the fish would come off. I didn't want the line to snap and lose my whopper plopper

@yasinozkaran4417 Thank you for your support 🙏 from my experience, fishing early, overcast days, and start on the windy side. Even when I see fish, if they are not biting, I continue walking and looking for aggressive fish around different structure/cover. I like starting fishing at a depth where the lure begins to disappear. Good luck! 👍

@ironmikebassmaster3252 Yes, very blessed with the creeks. I enjoy Creek Fishing Adventures and Richard Gene the Fishing Machine for creek inspiration. I did find some smaller hellgrammite which I'll try soon and need to get some of the Nikko lures

@crankbaiter_IndoCad no journey is too far if you find what you're looking for 😃 yes, very fortunate they are not too far. I've only explored about a 30-40 mile radius. You're fishing nice waters too!

I was amazing to find this many fish living in this tiny spot. Probably no more than 2 feet deep. Perhaps I should've put them back into the main pond. Or will I get in trouble 🤔

From my limited experience, I've had the best luck early morning until the sun gets a little high. A few hours before dark. A lot of success on overcast days. On brighter, clear days, when I can see a bunch grouped together, I get away from those and look for deeper water near cover. Those fish seem to be aggressive any time of day.

Yes, thank you for the thought! My foot is much better! Not 100%, but i can manage longer walks and back to playing tennis without extreme pain 🙏

Another tip that has really worked for me is to fish the lure around the depth where it begins to disappear from sight

I think you're right. After a while, I was wishing I had a compact plastic similar to frog size. When the wind blows the duckweed to one side, it's an endless field excitement 😃

@mellowfellowfishing I think you are doing great with your videos! I'm like the 4lb fireline but you have to break it in. That takes 2 or 3 trips. I can get good distance with fly on my old school Ugly Stik UL.!

@@mellowfellowfishingyes, but for flys- you ll need a real ul gear then- we in europe have a lot ul fishing at trout pay lakes, with softplastic in tungsten head , fly hook, --or small 2cm spoons.. tey use so called trout-jig- or spoon rods- maybe average is 1,80m with 0,5- 3,5 g -- thats real ul then-- some call it UUL, i know. if you fish in the sea UL is maybe a 50g rod... so it depends . tight lines, greetings from germany

@@mellowfellowfishing ah cool- ja, in germany we have lots of put n take lakes for trout (rainbow, lachsforelle(bigger rainbows with red flesh), goldtouts, laketrout, brook trouts.. some have even largemouth bass in summer, then sturgeon and african catfish also often , it depends on saison and lake) we addapt much fishing from japan and italia, denmark too-- they also have lots of troutfisheries in lakes, competitions and so on . thats why they advanced a lot . look up for them and their stuff-- spirolino is another great thing -- great techniques in that genre. tight lines man;-)
