Is this the best way to sprint faster, if not, what other exercises or workouts or equipment or whatever can you use to run faster? I have a 100m, and 200 m sprint and have football, and soccer practice so I need top speed
Hey @newtonomega883 There are various exercises and drills that can help improve your sprinting speed. It's great that you're looking to enhance your performance for your sports practices! It's one of the key tools that we should be performing regularly within your training season. Time of the season and whether you need more max velocity of acceleration will have an impact but...running drills, plyometrics, resisted sprints are all key components. Put simply sprint more often and remember it's important to graduate into this type of formal exercise rather than jumping straight into!

Hey @messup7654 thanks for your comment. It’s actually determined by three factors. Firstly, in acceleration development you’ll often use very heavy sleds whilst in max speed you’ll use a combination including light sleds. Secondly, you will need to use a 75% BW sled for force velocity profiling in order to find the optimal sled weight. Thirdly it will be athlete specific, often relating to whether you have a velocity or force based athlete. I hope that helps 👍🏾

@@PerformancePhysique At the moment Jakob Ingebrigtsen is the best middle distance runner. But he will, and already is better in 3000, 5000 and in some years, maybe even from next season he will start running 10k, he have good personal best, both track (training) and 10k Run on road's. Exactly where the changing will happen nobody knows. But those who knows a bit about him know that it's just a matter of time. 5000, 10.000 and even half Marathon. He also wants to beats his personal best on 3000 with 7 second. But some week ago he did something stupid. Giving support by buy weapons to a side that have oppressed the ethnic Russian in former Ukraine is the most stupid he even have done. But he's young and have only listening to western media with it's doble morality propaganda isn't smart, he should stay far away from politics. And give many to a weapon that kills is just foolish no matter.
