We Built the ULTIMATE Welding Fixture Table
Welding is a major part of what we do in almost every job! So it is time to upgrade how we do it!
Using a kit built here in North Carolina we make one of the biggest shop upgrades we have made in years. We will step you through it and show the improvements we make to the kit! Dad's so excited he almost smiled for the picture! 😉🤣

Your not a chevy lover are you.
@@JohnGordon-x7l we have plenty of Chevys but lately we've had our fair share of Ford's 😂 so idk what the makes us.
If a specialty mechanics work area looks like this, I feel comfortable leaving my parts with him. If the area is too clean, and there's not a bunch of random gaskets, washers, o-rings, etc...I go somewhere else.
@@mikejacobs9816 haha that's a good call! We keep it clean here but we got parts 😂
He charged for a carb overhaul and didn't use all the parts.😅
@@randyolson415 the kits come with parts for multiple different kinds so you always have leftovers depending on what your working on.
I feel like the loose ones were sold but not installed. 😂😮. Like everything out of the packaging atleast.
@@bobbymoore2223 haha we have never sold parts 😂 most of these are partial kits. Not everything gets a whole kit since the kits cover more than one application lol
Nice vid
@@samuelmiller-u2m thanks!
@@shift_points no problem
wow, thats one beefy table for sure. Even flipping it over looked like it took yall a good while.
@@Bennyboysspeedshop it is a BEAST! It was literally 2 hours to flip it 😂😂 it's already been so useful!
i drive a 78 ....it has a "fishbowl"glass front carburetor glass filters and inline pump ... no fuel issues for me lmao
@@michaelobrien3870 perfect!!
@@shift_points will be once i swap out the fuel lines for fresh solid and braided lines than it'll be bulletproof 👌
@@michaelobrien3870 that is going to be unbeatable!
That one fitting went into the darkness forever 😂
@@Evoksik 😂😂😂😂 luckily it was just under the table
DID come with all the fittings you'll need. Bet that the one you dropped had a outside diameter of 10mm give or take! 😂

How's it handle stainless? I had to flare stainless by hand one time and people aren't kidding when they say its tough
@@samdelucia5074 stainless can be a real pain to work with for sure! I haven't had any stainless tubing in it yet but with that handle I think it will be no problem. I'll make sure to post it if we get some in it!
Thats cool dude!
@@cf8979 super handy piece! Thanks for watching!
Top job champion, your bloods worth bottling.
@@wingnut6472 now that's a compliment! Thanks for watching!
😂😂😂😂

Did you paint it.? 🤔
No it's aluminum they weren't worried about that.
As a guy…I ALWAYS COME BACK
😂😂
I worked for a guy in a weld shop for a time that had the old world way of doing things and had a shit attitude toward everyone. I did great welds, I laid amazing tube beads and thin walled fencing welds.. that guy could always find some reason to whine about my work. Even when I was out working him amd making the boss tons of money.. fuck weld shops and fuck welding. Doesn't pay for crap and you treated like crap.
@@gardenlifelove9815 sorry to hear that! We work for ourselves so we don't have to deal with that much!
Dude same thing. Fuck welding shit psy and fucks your health
now its nice and straight, we gonna bend the shit out of it again !
Pull it through a 2x4 with a corresponding hole in it and that straightens it right out as well.
@@joejohnson8983 this is a lot easier lol
@@shift_points for sure
Whats the name of this tool? Gotta get one
@@OAikoT the company is Stupid Simple Tools. Check out their website it is their Tubing Straightener. Very good quality and the best price I found for one like this!
Im mad I didn't see one before now
@@carpediemarts705 happy to help! Thanks for watching!!
This is not new
@@billjenkins5693 I didn't say it was a new thing 😂 It's a new tool for us though!
Running it through the smallest pipe it will fit into is the best way I’ve found.
@@fewridge6479 until now that is 😂
Use copper if you can
@@kyleglover2353 I used that line on my Galaxie build it works very well!
The brake line I used like this rusted at the fitting within 4 years
@@kyleglover2353 we have used it a lot over the years and haven't had any issues to speak of. But the nickel/copper stuff is our go to recently though!
Most stainless brake line kits can be bought for $130 or less. Im not about to spend $50 , bend cut and flare , etc to save around $50. Time is money. By the time you do two lines, ill have a complete vehicle done in stainless lines. And ill never have to do that job again.
@@JeffRobertson-m7v I'll buy a kit if available. If you work on standard stuff that has kits that's great. We almost never do so we have the tools we need to do the job.
You can also do the same thing by clamping it up and applying lateral pressure (stretching) it a little. Simple no special tools required.
@@richarddrinkut3168 yes of course. This is 100 times faster and leaves you with a much straighter piece.
Calm down John 😭
@@fligder just leave John alone 😂
Can do the same thing if you drill a hole in a 2x4 and a vice
@@elijahwallace4175 that's right. This is about 100 times easier though lol
Instead of showing your ignorance in the comments with a statement, maybe test your knowledge with a question in a search engine. "What is the english hundred weight system?"
Lol
Yep
U already know
Awesome!
We couldn't believe the difference! Thank you!
DIY adapter plate, love it!
@@Sticker-Happy exactly!! Thank you!
If you are wondering, the bolts stick up from the table. This is how this works. The countersinking is for the bottom of the plate between the table and the plate
Do the countersink holes accommodate the head of the 3 bolts? Idk why my brain can’t figure out what you did to fit the bolt heads besides that 😅
@@tlw270 haha that's right! Used countersunk flat heads to bolt the vice to the plate and just regular 5/8" hex heads to bolt the plate to the table.
Great idea
@@LarsonFamilyFarm-LLC thank you sir!
Seems like a clever solution.

Nice
Cool looking track. Just wondering, is there a second lane for racing side by side?
I honestly have not got to watch a race here yet. The first one is scheduled for October 5th not sure how the big storm is going to affect that yet though. The stories I heard say it's bottom dominant but if you got the guts you can go up top. It's a very fast track.
@shift_points with all that banking, it's gotta be fast, for sure. Kind of leads to a single bottom groove unless the track rubbers up then maybe you look to diamond the corner, looking for grip and a run off. I'm looking forward to catching a race there on flo racing, if they cover it
Finally one with power steering install and vintage air!! Now I need to find a vid for door window and window hardware replacement lol.
@@richeerich561 I have a full weatherstripping videos for this truck! But it didn't need the full regulator and windows though.
