I'm so glad I'm not the only one that enjoys a slowed Daniel Caesar. I have Freudian on vinyl - one of the most valuable records in my collection. I often play around with listening to albums slowed or sped up, as my turntable has the option of spinning up to 20% slower or faster than the 33 / 45 RPM that most vinyl records are meant to be played at. So I discovered how damn good his music sounds when it's slowed back in 2017 when I first got the record, and I legitimately listen to it slowed more than I do at normal speed.

This song means a lot to me I was mad at my friend for a death from overdosing and not calling me for help. It was a weird stage of grief where I was mad she didn’t tell me. I felt like I was powerless and that made me scared and mad. When Daniel said that anger will fade away and you’ll wish she was here, that was the ending of me being angry and just wishing she was still here, then I just wished she was happy and at peace. Don’t do drugs, drink, or smoke if your struggling mentally. And call your friend and tell them ur proud of how far both of you have come.
