Nice sound, but here's a tip from an old bandsman who has done [too] many bandstand playouts. Get rid of all the clutter around the players; carrier bags, instrument cases, spare chairs and stands and the like. Just looks untidy and spoils the appearance of your good work.

I play in a brass band and this piece came on classic fm the other day but it was being sung by Dame Kiwi Takanawa, I knew I'd played it but didn't recognize the name, Canteloube, chants d'auvergne. A quick search on here and it's the beautiful Sheperds song, now I'm going to have to ask our MD to find it again!😂
