I am a pianist, accordionist, and organist. I enjoy collaborating with others..........friends are priceless, music is life.......
My career is in education. I taught in public school systems for my professional "job" as well and organist/choir director weekend vocation, too! As a young man I was a part-time ski instructor in Vermont and still retain my membership in the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
I recently returned to the accordion, which I learned in my teen years , played in a Polka Band for close to 20 years, and now am enjoying the accordion, piano, and organ!
I admire the talent on youtube......such advanced technique, playing, expression, and improvisations by so many channels I subscribe to......what a great group of music friends!
Hope to hear from you , both in performances and comments.......thanks for subscribing!🪗⭐️👍🔥👏😄🎹⛷️

The lyrics speak of a compulsive horse-track gambler who compares his addiction for horses with his attraction to women. I have been listening to this all year. It brings me so much joy and I dream of playing like this for my family someday! Is this music written down somewhere? Or are you improvising? Thank you for recording this!
@@stephanies2619 Thanks for listening! I improvised everything I played on this video...after years of playing these songs I sat down and made a medley....enjoy your endeavors and thanks for the compliment!

Why would someone spend so much money on an upright? You could just buy a grand or baby grand at that point
Depends on the person's preference....and some uprights can be built better and even sound better than a small grand.....space may be a factor, too......it's what a person hears and likes, and it's their money.....
@@cornellbsmusic7230The bechstein is truly a beautiful piano, it is one of my favorites and sounds majestic, I just in general don't understand the expensive upright market. I see uprights as a side piano if you need a quieter piano or for some apartment, but if you have 80k to spend why not get a grand? It seems like it's a huge jump from upright to grand in terms of sound and general playing experience (although some uprights can produce better sound, generally grands are just better) and if you were to get an upright, 30k+ seems a little unreasonable unless you have loads of money to spend. I understand it's the person's money, I just don't understand the choice
@@eliplayer2122 I feel the same way in general...that upright I'm playing in the video sells for over 50,000$...Must be a space issue for some people, but that piano plays and sounds better than a lot of small grands I've played...It's the top piano in that category.....I actually have the least expensive C Bechstein , an A112, check out the sounds on some of my posts...that sells now for around 16,000$, sounds great and a fun action, too.. so what's your piano of choice?
@@cornellbsmusic7230 I've tried a few c bechstein uprights before, they are lovely. I dream of owning a bechstein baby grand in one of the wonderful wooden finishes with chrome highlights. About a month ago I was shopping for uprights and was either going to buy the kawai k400 or the w.hoffman t122. it took me a while to decide but I landed on the Hoffman. The kawai is great but it feels more like a machine than an instrument, the Hoffman really has a soul and produces some beautiful sound. That's a general trend with most European made pianos compared to Japanese ones. The Hoffman is very loud for the size and has a deep rich treble.
@@cornellbsmusic7230 I've tried a few bechstein uprights, they are lovely instruments. I dream of owning a bechstein baby grand in one of the shiny wood finishes with chrome highlights, they are beautiful. A few months ago I was looking to buy an upright piano and I was deciding between the W.Hoffman t122 and the kawai k400, as they were the two options in my price range available in my area. I settled on the hoffman, as the kawai feels more like a machine while the hoffman feels more like an instrument with a soul. Thats a general trend among european made pianos compared to japanese ones. The piano is very loud for it's size and has a deep and rich treble. I also got it for only 11k, depsite the msrp being 19k

Thank you for your music. You reminded my brother who played the accordeon and piano By ear, when he was around 5. And came to Uruguay, escaping from the war, when he was just a child. So many ships arrived at our River Plate,Ri'o de la Plata, and they were welcomed!!!!

This voice on the DGX670 thrills my heart. I am older, 74, and my Yamaha Clavinova CVP7, circa 1985 Japan, is not working well. I've been talking about buying an accordion, but my husband doesn't necessarily like the sounds of an accordion. This gives me hope that I could purchase this keyboard instead and use headphones. One of the questions I tried to answer is, was there and electronic accordion that one could use headphones. I couldn't find anything on that. Thank you, for this video. I am inspired!
Yes, contact Kevin Solecki at Carnegie Accordion in Pittsburg, PA..he sells Roland electronic accordions and there is an earphone option I'm pretty sure, but verify with him.....he has some good deals now....www.carnegieaccordion.com/ wish you well in your endeavors and thanks for the compliment! This DGX Yamaha is priced at 850$ US dollars and has headphone output
@@cornellbsmusic7230 I actually bought one on amazon this afternoon. It was $799.99. There were only 2, so I decided it was time. I can hardly wait! I'll keep Kevin in mind when I decide about an accordion.
If it weren’t so damn heavy!
Agree......I have case for mine, but it really takes two people to move it safely, IMO......
Great use of the higher octaves in the beginning, and played with a very nice swing. This is the best interepretation Ive heard on piano-- I will have to give this one a try, next year! Bravo!!
Thanks!....I improvised at the beginning and end to the tune "Jingle Bells", but the "Let It Snow" is the original arrangement........glad you enjoyed the interpretation!....and yes, try it ...I'd like hearing it using your accordion skills.......do you play piano?
@@cornellbsmusic7230I don't play piano, but I would like to learn eventually. I think the left hand will be a little tricky for me at first. It is great to know all 3, piano, accordion, and organ!
@@aristomenis64 Aristomenis..my left hand is weaker than the right because I started on accordion.....you'll do fine, just have to have some directed practice and left hand more-so......it is nice to be able to play three different instruments, you become more valuable to the music community, too...and triples your fun and accomplishment!.....again, thanks for your supportive comments about my videos 👍🎹🪗

Hi Cornell, do you know other pianos that can play accordion sound? Im fascinated by that sound so much and I don't want to buy an actual accordion haha. Preferably something portable.
Hi And thanks for the comment......I don't know what's available near you, but the price on that Yamaha 670 is $850 in US dollars, a great price for all the features it has! . You might consider that piano? I a, sure most digital with instrument sound banks have accordion sounds, but the Yamaha sounds are really nice.....look around online, I will , too and if I see anything I'll let you know, but the Yamaha is a new model, new sounds, and great ones, not just the accordion ones, either, they're all good! Let me know what you find and then do some recordings)
Anyone know what other piano that has an accordion sound? Love this sound.
nice sounding organ!
Thanks for listening
I really like that arrangement. And the bechstein piano is perfect for it
Thanks, agree..the arrangement is awesome and the Bechstein rings it out to sound like a Christmas song...IMO...thanks for the comment.... .

Fantastic playing, I hope I can play this well some day. The right hand is just great, and you play with much passion. Thank you for sharing this performance!
You'll exceed the level I can play if you keep progressing this way at your age......I have a lot more practice years.....keep playing different styles and songs, enjoy it all! I thank you for your generous comment......looking forward to more videos from you on your channel!
@@cornellbsmusic7230 Thank you so much, I plan to keep playing the accordion my whole life. I am looking forward to more recordings from you as well!
I started playing the age of 14, played in a Polish Polka Band for almost 20 years, then focused on piano and organ....until about 5 years ago when I picked up my Excelsiola and missed it so much that I continue to improve, hopefully.....it's a wonderful instrument and your passion and love of it comes through when you play.....very nice, once again........awesome talent you have....🪗 listen to the best and you'll be one of them someday
@@cornellbsmusic7230 That is a great story, and I am glad you've returned to accordion. Continuing to improve is the most fun part of playing an instrument. I hope to try to learn piano at some point in the future too.
@@aristomenis64 ...awesome....you'll like it a lot, especially with a digital?...and then the organ......check out my youtube video Yamaha 670...made it sound like an accordion😇
Absolutely cheerful !!!!🙃😊☺
Thanks, glad you liked it......nice uplifting tune!😀🎹
Someone who knows how to demonstrate a piano. He uses all registers. Not just the middle.
Thanks....your comment is so true! When I listen to many demos online they tend to leave out the lower bass notes and the upper octaves, too! Many times they showcase themselves with something fast to show techniques where I think a variety of speeds and styles would be better to get a feel for the piano and what it can do.....thanks for listening, enjoy!
What fun!😊
Yes, it was a lot of fun......hadn't done anything like this since before covid......thanks for listening!
