Love the socks! The cuff is gorgeous

New subscriber (...yes.😉), love the emphatic and calm way you talk about things, thank you. On a totally yarn unrelated note - I didn't know an itchy nose meant the same thing on the other side of the pond - fun! Oh, and it's not important at all, really, but just now that you have a German person here: if you so wish, you might become the only American youtuber pronouncing the "Zauberball" (=Magic-Ball) the German way: the "Z" is sharp, as in Tsar. The labels are actually fun, because at least here in Germany they were the first - decades ago - to come up with these creative names for colourways (many of which don't translate well as they are concepts or sayings and many have double meanings), in a way that later all the indie dyers picked up. Most of the balls have a warning label that says: "Caution! Knitting can be addictive!" And isn't that the truth... when we look at your Stephen West Shawl 😉

If I can feel a sweater clinging on my body at all I won’t wear it , and after all that work and $ I have decided looks be damned I’m going to make mine big and comfy …. A friend told me that after age 50 we disappear anyway 😜.

You’re not alone in your feelings about the election and thank you for your integrity in voicing your disappointment in those who have chosen cruelty over kindness in rhetoric and behavior towards their neighbors, friends and family members. Compassion is what makes us human and is what Christ’s message and lessons are about. To expand one’s compassion to all is a difficult path to walk. I have met many a religious church goer who has failed to grasp this simple teaching of love and kindness to others yet claim to be good christians. Your courage in speaking out for what is right is commendable and honorable and again I thank you for addressing the ugliness and vileness that has been inflicted upon the vulnerable amongst us and been accepted by people who believe themselves to be decent human beings. To those who have lost their understanding of what is right and wrong behavior I remind you all of a quote from Voltaire; “Anyone who has the power to make you believe in absurdities, has the power to make you commit atrocities “

Love my Chiaogoo Bamboo and they have a nine inch circular that works great for socks. Concerning the striped sweater. Have you considered knitting the bottom a bit longer than the top. That might give you a length you feel comfortable with. You might also knit the back a little longer than the front and leave a 2-3” split at the side. The yarn and colors you chose are lovely.

Another enjoyable podcast! The gallant sweater sounds like something I could knit and it doesn’t have short rows! I love how cozy yours looks.
