This is great, thanks for the video!! Can you help me with the name and model of the burner? I live in Sweden, so will google it or for a similar and with the same watt-capacity.
@@lindaohrn8946 That’s for the very nice words! I’m not sure what brand that I used. It was the cheapest that the store had. I’m sure any sort of wood burner would work, as long as it has a decent tip. I’m not at home at present, but I’ll try to find out for you when I do get home. Thanks so much for watching! :)

Hi Marty! Great travel tin - it turned out great. :D Do you sand the tin before you paint it? and what paint do you use? Thanks. ox
Hi Bev, yes I did sand it it a bit, just enough to get the paint to stick. I used acrylic, but I would update recommend a good light spray paint if you want really good coverage. Just remember to do that outside with a mask. (TH-cam safety reminder… lol ) You could probably sand the box and just cover it. The sandpaper will remove just enough surface for the glue to stick better. I hope that I’m making sense! :)

It will be 102.f tomorrow. I know you all live by Celsius.. so basically it just means that you can cook meatloaf on the bonnet of your car( or hood as we call it)lol I hate hot weather. I picked a terrible time to be born, with climate change. I finally did look up the little ring thingys and added the name and where I got them to the video. They really are cool to add to a journal spine.. for ribbons and beads and things.I love making these little journal tins. I guess my teacher friends can expect some for Christmas. lol Have a great day today! Xx

I thought it was just a cool little idea that people can modify to use how they would like. I think that a longer one on the side of a page would be really neat ( technical term). Anyway… I’m glad that you like it! :)

Great journal. All the vintage stuff is very cool. The "snippet roll" piece was just a bit of ruffle. (Still don't understand why they call that a ruffle. It's a pleated (sp?) piece really. Ruffles are gathered.) Don't remember if I sent you that dime coin roll. But I could have, I gather weird stuff like that. The piece you said the guy was kicking Reds out of congress...They referred to communists as Reds. Back when it was a very big deal if you were communist. Everyone in Hollywood was scared to death they would be accused and get black balled. Anyway, the S &H Green Stamps sure brought back memories of helping my mom put them in the books they made for them. Those were the days. Anyway, awesome "vintage" journal kid. You did good. 😁❤️
I guess that I was just making a bad joke about the reds. :) it was a big deal with the CIA and Hollywood at the time. A very cool ordinary bit of history. It was nice to be able to add bits of things that my friends gave me. I have been hoarding that ruffle for a long time! I remember the S&H stamps too. I never knew anyone who actually saved enough for the plastic dishes. lol That’s why I love these journals so much, it is a good place to keep such amazing snippets of our everyday history in one place. Love the tag journal. Scary how we think alike. I just put a couple of pieces aside that ill be using for a tag journal. An idea i saw on another you tube channel. Not exactly like this one. It was bound by using those "O" ring things. The piece from a tackle box is called a swivel I believe. An idea our friend Sue told me about a while back, but I keep forgetting to get some. I had the Temu app but recently learned they spy on us so I deleted everything that pertained to them. Bummer because they had some great stuff at great prices. 😏 Anyway, great video. Love the journal. ❤
