Just came across this. It’s such a good memory. I still think of it as one of the best shows I’ve ever attended. Andy was truly a natural.

great video, but not the fourth of july. this was a swedish housewife show. with John Sexx. the fourth of july show followed a huge party I had at my house earlier in the day, then we came down and partied at the vogue. either way, thank you for this video. back in the good days before the "scene" changed our scene.

Lemme tell you what a trip it is to be just shy of 58 years old and to spot my 21-year-old self dancing in front of Bruce, when I never even knew this video existed. It's both like seeing a whole other person and like physically and emotionally traveling back in time to the thing I did every week and took for granted. God, the things we took for granted. Thanks for this.

Just think for a minute, if he didn't pass away, MLB would've been bigger than GnR. That's where this band was headed. The British New Wave/ new romantics was over. My gen x bros and sisters wanted to hear real rock and roll again circa our influences of the 70s.

I love them. What a frontman he was.

Wow, Spotify played Gentle Groove while I was doing work and I stopped everything to figure out who this band was. While I have heard of them, I had never listened to their music. Wow is all I can say. This is straight up great rock ahead of its time. Great vocals, incredible guitar and the whole ensemble. I am impressed and sad to hear about the lead singer.

So very saddened we lost a gifted soul who was so beautiful and spirited and talented 😢. I was watching late night videos on TV when Stardog Champion came on and first heard them 💙. Had to go find the cassette the next day!!

I love how all these comments are fairly recent. I didn"t know of MLB until the movie "Singles". I wore the soundtrack cassette out! Went down the rabbit hole watching videos of all our greats that have passed. Turning 58 this Sept- probably shear luck to make it this far given all the stupid shit I did in the 80's and early 90's. A poster called Andy "Stargazer"- that hits hard. Even though I didn't know of his music until the movie, I feel like I lost a friend. Gen X sure had an amazing time growing up...

This is great. Appreciate you posting the show. I never cared much for Pearl Jam or Nirvana. I did love Soundgarden and Mother Love Bone, however. The talent of all of the bands from the northwest is obvious.

So overrated. They never ventured past what had already been done. They didn’t change rock music. They didn’t define the Seattle sound. The only reason they’re legendary is because of their association to bands that DID change the course of rock, and the fact that Wood died of an overdose.
