The Town of Vegreville is pleased to present our public education video on our Riverside Cemetery Bank Stabilization Project. Unlike traditional methods, this project removed invasive species and used wattle fencing and live toe staking of native vegetation to strengthen and preserve the riverbank. The approach reduces erosion, improves soil retention, enhances infiltration, and minimizes runoff.
This project was made possible through the Government of Alberta’s Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program.
