64^4 - 16^5 = 4^12 - 4^10 =(4^10)(4^2 - 1) = 15(4^10)

X = 1.0224 is also the right answer: 2^1.0224 = 2.03 1.0224^32 = 2.03 If you plot on Y axis both parts of this equation, they intersect first at X=1.0224, and then at X=256.

At the very end you forgot to bring down the 2. 16(2)(-1). The final answer is correct, but 16+16 does notequal 48. Nice work overall, except where you used X's for multiplication. Brackets ( ) will make it easier to read.

Why did it take you so many steps to get to 7^a = 70? Surely if you have x + x, it's obvious that dividing it by 2 gives x?

It too easy. The answer is (8^6-1)/7 =(8^3+1)(8^2+8+1)=513×73

(8^6-1)/(8-1)=37,449. Sum of geometric series. Middle school stuff, although mobile phone calculator makes evaluation easier. Evaluating by hand ... 8^6=(8^3)^2=512^2, so 8^6-1=511*513. 511=73*7. Hence (8^6-1)/(8-1)=7*73*513/7 =513*73. =1539+35910 =37449. Which is rather quicker than the video.
