Here we delve into various aspects of lead risk, testing and detection from a perspective of someone who's been around the block several times.
for the past 5 years I have detected lead with sodium rhodizonate, enabled about 150k people to administer over 3.5million tests into their environment, i believe that using chemicals to detect environmental toxins is the best way to learn more about the hidden nature of our environment and this makes us safer for it.

i test a bunch of baby bottles using a portable xrf gun made in 2018, several brands have low levels below the cspc limit of 90 ppm, while many actually have alarmingly high numbers. while it is on the outside its probably a good idea to avoid using them since children are susceptible to leads most dangerous aspect- brain damage.

What chemicals are used in the lead test spray and drip, is it just as toxic as lead.
Methylammonium Bromide, and Mandelic Acid, both are non toxic and water soluble. But dont get it in your eyes!
Does tap water contain lead, are lead pipes everywhere, should I drink reverse osmosis. Does my guitar contain lead, do you have higher lead levels in your blood because you test so much lead? If I detect lead on something I don't touch that often should I still get rid of it.
In order, only if there’s a lead pipe from the street to your house, you don’t need to but it won’t hurt, it could, I don’t bc I’m safe and if you are aware it has lead you probably won’t get exposed
what’s the best way to clean lead residue off of one’s hands. It’s hard to search this kind of info. Just normal hand soap? Especially in regards to electronics repair. When you’re trying not to contaminate plastic enclosures and or clean tools after works done. Be useful to know what’s best for cleanup On surfaces as well. Many thanks for any insights. May need to buy the kit to find out
