lol. Great advice. We actually do use the engine and gears to break on hills. You really don't need much breaks if you trust your vehicle. Riding in Colorado, it is for sure a must! Thanks for the advice! Hopefully some newbies will read your comment and be able to follow your expert help! In the video, our breaks were not warm. We believe we might have had some air in the line, thus why we could not repeat the issue after we bled the lines.

We were there in EARLY March this time. This was the coldest we have ever been there. Its HOT in the summer, but spring and fall are usually perfect. :)

Hi Randytredway376! You can get to white wash and Bartlett Wash/Tusher Tunnel, and the M&M trail in one trailer ride. You can also get to the Rim Trail and Metal Masher from the same area. Fallen Officer is right across the highway from M&M/Tusher Tunnel area, and they do have a trail along the road there. LOTS to do in that area. Then Poison spider is for SURE an all day thing. If your coming from Missouri, you might want to do Hells Revenge and Fins and Things. You have to pay to get into that park, but its one fee for both. Hope this helps! Yea please no alcohol. The last time i went as a kid maybe 12. I stepped on a broken beer bottle in the lake. Ended my vacation as it slit my big toe joint down to the bone. I was stuck in a chair the whole week due to any pressure making it bleed like crazy. Took weeks to heal. My dad did go in and find the bottle and took it out. But i dont walk in lakes anymore. Thanks random drunk guy...

Hello, We used Gaia Maps for this trip, they have several trails on their map that we were able to follow. Unfortunately I cannot post "pic" of the trails that we took, but camped and left from Manila, rode to Stateline Cove Campground, then headed north along the Reservoir, trails are very well marked. The next day we left Manila, headed south and then followed a marked trail to Finch Draw. Unfortunately we we were not able to spend more time exploring, but Gaia has many trails marked around the Reservoir. Thanks for watching!

July is such a great time to go! We don't usually have an itinerary... just a bunch of people hanging out by the fire trying to decide where we go the next day. :) I can't think of any super technical trails for newbies in the area. I personally don't like tippy trails, and Flag Mountain has an area that feels tippy. But as long as you don't stop, I think it is OK. This is a great area for somewhat beginners. If you are staying at the trading post, one direction has Texas Creek, Lilly Pond, Tellurium, Flag Mountain and several other trails off the main road. The other direction has Slaugherhouse, and the Tincup, Hancock, Cumberland loop, along with some other trails. Be sure to use one of the downloaded maps from Onyx or one of the others. The cell service there is not great. The trading post does have wifi. My favorite areas are: Texas Creek, we always see wildlife there, it's a great place to spot a moose. Lilly Pond- has the old mines, and mining camp, and we have seen several deer at Lilly Pond. The Slaugherhouse trail/Union Park, has a little bit of everything (wide open areas, treed trails, high and low speed areas). Have a great time, and thanks for watching the video!

What a great idea! We will try to get that out to you. But in the mean time,... it was a whirlwind road trip trying to avoid a snow storm. :) A friend and I drove to Preston Idaho, to their tag agency. We had to have our bill of sale and the MSO- something that shows you are the owner. I have heard that you could call, and sometimes they will do it over the phone. Be sure to ask for a "non resident tag". Happy riding!

We went from Gemini bridges and then poison spider to 279, but took pucker pass back to the Gemini bridges area! It's a long day of riding, but yes, that was our loop. Our Rzr is street legal, so that helps with the paved sections of the loop.

We use OnX Offroad maps, and Gaia maps primarily. We like OnX for Moab.

We LOVE going in October, but are not planning on being out there this October. Have a great time! Let us know if you have a favorite trail!

The climb isn't bad. We usually come from the south, through Woodland Park, and Florissant. The north route, through 285 isn't bad either. There are some elevation gains, ... obviously, your going to the mountains, but you are not crossing the continental divide. Hope this helps!

We fill up in Thompson Springs in Utah. It right before the Moab exit. There is a gas station with water, and air. We usually get gas there, so we are buying something from the station, and then fill up with water. But, I believe you could also fill up in Fruita Colorado. They have a dump station right off the highway, with water as well. Have a great time!

I totally agree! That is the odd part of this failure. we were not on the breaks for the switchbacks. We changed out the fluid, and no issues since. Thanks for the comment! :)

Thanks for all the info ohvfun4198! Taylor park can get busy. We had good luck in 2023. They do an ATV rally there in, I think August. The potential crowds from that time I think would be bad too. :)
