Astral Perfect Victory, a buff that doesn’t do much besides award you with the ability to wear cosmetic shades at 1 stack and apply permanent shades onto your character at 17. Everything after that is just to show off

It's called Dedication, you gain it when you get 17 hardmode victories in a row, and provides the cosmetic sunglasses / shades, it isn't removed when dying. (but, the stack counter is reset when you die to khonsu)

This is from a certain "version" of classic called Season of Discovery and it's just to flex. You get a cosmetic buff at 17 stacks but that's it. You get a stack for every time you kill this boss on hard mode but lose it all if you lose once.

@@Waldingus2277 I had a few deaths at some high stacks before i started using world buffs and flasks. My goal was 100 and I was consistently getting over 50+ but would die before then so I did what any sports player would and juiced up before trying again 😂

You get cosmetic shades permanently attached to your character at 17, as far as i can tell there is nothing afterwards

Only thing you lose is APV stacks, your dedication buff and shades stay

Man, I did this as a prot warrior and struggled to get past 1. I now have a full DPS set of gear and am curious to re try as watching you, the fight is only 1 phase….

@@sticksgaming2076 I definitely recommend going full dps, 2H fury is good if you wanna have some breathing room with victory rush during add phase but if you wanna brute force your way through it then dual-wield single minded fury gets the job done the fastest

I got jealous of warriors getting the buff so quickly after I discovered it considering it took me over a week to get 17 so I had to do something to make me feel better lol. I’m glad its over, ain’t no way this grind was good for me. Ty for the kind words friend!

@ Happy you found it man. For all the being BiS 20M “Mythic” raiding and Warlord pushing this was funner/more challenging than most if not all endgame activities at current.

My ping is very inconsistent due to living in rural Iowa and having to share internet with people who like to download a lot of games off steam which takes forever. On a good day I'm at a consistent 40 which is the norm however sometimes I got 150-250 which is less than ideal. My wifi also likes to disconnect for no reason

I was able to predict which times would and wouldn't be good for me. I typically made my big attempts during the weekends while during the weekdays I'd typically reserve for testing the fight and figuring out what I could improve on. ty!

Yep! as of right no there is no way to have the dedication buff removed

Yeah I cringe a little bit at myself with these "older" clips, I ran way too far to the left with that first strike but as long as you run back towards the middle when he finishes then it's not a big deal

The pain was fleeting as I have since achieved 100 stacks

As long as you anticipate stomps, it's best to stay decently close to the center since you can dodge most attacks much more easily, you'll also be covered if he bugs out and doesn't turn towards your character before attacking. Stomps will be your only issue if you use this strat outside of add phase.

Well i got an 82 a couple days ago and then died a very similar way, then i had a lag death at 43 yesterday. Right now I have 41 and I’m going to log in soon and go for more.

I knew about jumping off saving your stacks but i never thought of using it to get out of tough situations. I'm thinking maybe after the first smash to maybe let myself stay out a bit further so if he does a 2nd smash before the stomp and I don't have the distance to run across the platform i could just jump off instead...

It won't show on your character right away cause classic wow is buggy with models. As long as you have dedication you should have it but if you change helms it'll also not show for a shortish period of time. Relogging should help with this

@@Moshrav hey again. So tried logging out, relog etc, this have been an issue for a week now where they dont appear..tried everything

Weird… I’m sorry to say I’m not sure what is going on in that case, they should be showing up if you have the buff and I personally have never had that issue so I don’t know how to fix it. Could maybe be something in your graphics or interface settings you could toy with and see if that helps but other than that I got nothing ):

Only thing i can think of is that you need the shockwave rune since you get the "normal" shades there too.
