Brave man the biggest alligator I've ever seen was in lake apopka
Great catch! I just caught one this past Friday near Lake Harris, that looked very similar in size. I was heartbroken to find my scales were not working. The batteries had died. Just my luck!
That is a phenomenal lake for bass, not easy to access unless you have someone you know that lives in one of the limited homes that sit directly on it, and the interstate can be loud at times. Another great video Mr. Ken.
You must be thinking of a different lake. There are no houses on this particular lake and it's a couple miles from the nearest highway. A lot of these lake in the Ocala National Forest look the same.
What's your secret Ken? I need to get some fishing training from you.
Sorry, but my only secret is go early, stay late and make as many casts as you can. The more time on the water, the better the chances of landing a nice one.

I knew about the gators before I went and amazingly I only saw one gator the whole day. Probably won't go back anytime soon because it was super shallow and trolling motor was kicking up mud almost the entire time. I lucked into finding a small area with some deeper water and caught all my fish in about a 100 yard stretch.
In the most alligator infested lake in Florida bro your crazy! But killing it instead of being killed. Amazing
