In Kapuna we have an awesome sewingproject since 2021. We are looking forward for 2023. In this movie Sherry tells her story. We are so pround on her and the other sewingladies. Thank you for supporting us! Together we can make big changes in the life's of mothers and for the villages in this area.

This was the most extreme health patrol we ever did. For the first time in 50 years our medical staff walked the risky trail up the mountains of Punjano and Taiswara. From KAKS to DFG Kapuna is a small village in the jungle of Papua New Guinea (PNG). One year ago we started sewing class in Kapuna. The ladies are doing well. They learned how to sew clothes. But this year they will learn from the organization Days For Girls how to sew sanitary pads. See the movie to hear the story. Bye , KAKS
Kool Kaimare Patrol [March 2022]

In March 2022 Kapuna medical team did a patrol to the Kaimare area as part of the hospitals regular medical patrol program. Unable to reach those villages by land, we travelled as usual by dinghy. We try to reach those communities three times a year for child-immunization, outpatient clinic and health education.
Kick-start: Woman Business Project [January 2022]

Woman play a key role in the sustainability of communities in Papua New Guinea. Sadly, Gulf province [PNG] offers near to zero opportunities for secondary education and additional jobs. We try to kick-start a Woman Business Project wherein local woman from Kairimai, Ara'ava and Kapuna will be trained in Small Business Management, Budgeting and Sewing Skills.
The Water Tank Dance [December 2021]

Mairivepea village (Gulf province, Papua New Guinea) celebrated the opening of their new water tank, purchased with help of Dutch donators. These 9000 liters of rainwater will ensure safe drinking water and happy dances.

Kapuna Rural Hospital provides health care services in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea. By doing medical patrols we try to reach all of our catchment area, including beautiful Wabo and surrounding villages.

Wonderful. My grandparents travelled from Samoa to Papua New Guinea to serve as missionaries in the early 1960s. They lived there for about 7 years and my Dad was born in Kapuna.
