I remember in 1954 my mom & I crossed the bridge between 2 hillsides over route 55 in Ferndale. The bridge was so humongous. It was 30 yards high & 70 yards across. I remember the train crossed another large bridge between 2 sides of a mountain just west of Liberty. I remember seeing the train crossing that bridge from my kitchen table in 1956. After the train crossed the bridge it went through a huge gorge through that mountain that was @ least 30 yards deep. On the other side the embankment where the train ran provided the seating for us for home football games when the new Liberty HS was built. The O&W station in Liberty became a very popular hangout in 1970. The ticket counter became the bar for the bartenders. It attracted customers from all over the county. Memorabelia from the attic was displayed on the walls. The 1917 calendar on the wall above the bar had the same dates as 1970.

What kind of traffic was generated on the western end of the O & W in the 40s and 50s? I imagine Great Lake transfers were done by then ..

I am a railroad employee that maintains the still active crossings of the O&W in Middletown and the LHR elsewhere. This was so well done. Lots of fan effort clearly put into this. Thank you for sharing the story of the NYO&W

I live directly off rt 52 only 3/4 of a mile from where the bowling alley used to be right by the Albany Post Rd traffic light and intersection and I can state from my own experiences living here the last decade that the amount of strange craft activity in the sky by overall non conventional craft in the sky is absolutely enormous and constant, occuring just about every single night. Alot of other strange and even flat out disturbing activity going on regularly in and around my home and property that I have been experiencing constantly for a few years now, def something about this area , I don't know what it is but def something attracting and causing all this stuff.

Hey guys , I can verify all this information this man says about the UFO's and high strangeness in the local area as I live on rt52 only 1/3 mile away from the intersection of rt52 and Albany Post Road , right on the corner of Ryder Road, and I see these triangles to this day , almost literally everytime I walk outside after roughly 9:30 pm , ive also been dealing with what I'll just call a "bedroom invader" for the last almost 4 years that I'm aware of and I'll just say that part is not pleasant for fun , wish I knew how to get rid of the thing , but yeah the UFO's our out just about every night , it's a wild place to live. Thanks for the video I enjoyed it.
