Hi 2MeterMan here. In this video I'm having some fun with the Mazda3 Skyactiv-X 2020. Driving the beautiful roads in Tirol area (Austria). Filmed with the Insta360 1inch mod. Decent camera but the microphone on that thing is horrible :) I might consider some night driving in the city as well, let me know what you find interesting to see and i might shoot it!

Anyone have issues with the crossover? The sub doesn’t activate till <40hz and the rest don’t activate till >45 hertz so there’s completely no volume around 40-45hertz and the bass is really quiet even at 60 hertz

The Centerport creates the 3-D surroundsound experience. I would think you would want at least the lower setting on that, not completely turn it off
I understand your feedback, i've switched settings A LOT, and i believe the 3d surround experience is fine on low volume, but on higher volume it becomes tiring to listen to. But everyone has their preference and i love to hear them!
This video helped me a lot by the way. New configuration, bass +1-2, Treble - 1-2, fader -0, Centerpoint +1, Auto Pilot: Off.
I have tried so many configurations with this car - this one is the best.

Immer jeden Arm bzw. die linke und die rechte Hand mehr oder weniger auf ihrer Seite am Steuer lassen = bessere Kontrolle, ganz besonders beim sportichen Fahren. Nichts für Ungut...

Do you think this is a quite car (cabin) while driving. ?Are you satisfied with the power the engine is giving (not only at high rev but normal driving ?
The Cabin is a very nice place to be in, I own an BMW i4 now, but still am longing back to the more classic interior of the Mazda 3. I do think the Skyactiv-X 180HP engine is missing some torque in the lower end, a turbo would be nice.

there is no turbo option in europe, its the skyactive-x engine (compressor with self ignition technology)

Bose is just garbage sound on mazda..there's no freaking mid range setting..bose on gmc or chevrolet sounds way better..cause there is setting for midrange...doesn't matter which setting u set it..the sound is trash.

To me, Centerpoint causes the sound to be less distinct, and crisp. Only bad part is, with it off, if you go to use the FADE control, you'll find that FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON Bose chose to REDUCE the level of the rear speakers. Just keep the volume at one level, and move the fade all the way rear, then all the way front, and you'll see that the fronts have MUCH more output. BUT, if you turn centerpoint on, then the rear level is raised. I don't care, to me it sounds MUCH better with it off. Also, I like the "Listening position" set to "Driver's seat" I hear a tad more bass coming out of the speakers, and the overall sound seems - better. Just my take...
Thanks for sharing your preferences, Overall i'm still very happy with the soundsystem in the Mazda3, next month i'll be switching to a BMW i4 with Harman Kardon, I can already tell you that the Mazda is still the winner here.

I am also 1.94 cms tall and I own a mazda 3 e-skyactive-X manual transmission, with the exact same trim as yours: "Safety Red". No AWD though. I love sunroofs but this was not availabe in my country, Spain. It is funny/weird how tall lads preffer hatchbacks, at least it´s my case. I am really enjoying this car way too much. Tomorrow i have an appointment at the dealer´s for the 2nd service in Jerez. You are at an amazing environment, surrounded by twisted roads that look like a nest of vipers . 1.) - If you engage BOSE CenterPoint-2, then there’s no need for setting STEREO mode to Standard /Linear, as it can’t function with it on (defeats the purpose) hence, why the stereo tone option is greyed out, …if you tell the system to SIMULATE Bose CenterPoint Surround-2 , then you aren’t running it in Stereo or Linear, so it gets turned off, ‘cus you can only either process Surround or Stereo, Standard or Linear (Linear -it’s just an enhanced {Rear!} Stereo). I’ve HEARD, (haven’t independently verified) that the rear two C-Pillar 63 mm ‘Twiddlers’ run in Mono only. (C-Pillar in hatchback, or rear shelf in the Mazda3 sedan … the subwoofer is on the rear shelf too, in the sedan! …speaking of the sedan’s subwoofer, does anyone know the size of it, since it’s not enclosed, like the 110 mm ‘enclosed in the spare tire subwoofer’ in the hatchback.) 2.) -BOSE CenterPoint-2 ‘jacks-up’ certain frequencies- mainly the (approximate) 1 Khz + up, in 3 defined stages, to ‘simulate’ Surround Sound, over Stereo soundstage (Standard or Linear). 3.) - The BOSE AudioPilot-3 is a DSP customized management system. It uses variable inputs such as speed, engine noise, climate control, wipers, outside and inside background noise Etc., to mitigate what seems like the clarity, frequency output, and volume in 3 selectable pre-set stages.

Honestly, if you don't have to drive a lot of heavy stop-go traffic, take the manual. it's more fun and Mazda makes really good manuals.

hi, what are your thoughts about automatical transmission at this mazda ? any problems, lags or something ? is it ok for more dynamic ride, overtaking on highway? Did you use padle shifters ?
Great question! to be fair the automatic is primaribly tuned for efficiency, therfore it shifts up rather fast meaning that when you do need torque it needs to downshift often 2-3 times, this takes a lot of time when going from cruising to overtaking. its something i needed to get used to because it requires the driver to anticipate more than you are probably used to. if you want to drive it more sporty, the "Sport" mode is sufficient, it keeps the engine revved higher and greatly increases response at the cost of some extra petrol (not too much, but noticeably more). In day to day driving i wont find myself needing to padle shift, i only do it when i drive a fun road. To me this car is the perfect comprimise between Fun and daily.
Recently took delivery of '22 Mazda3 Sedan/Premium (SoulRed/White leather) - really lovin' it! Re: audio system, I discovered the USB port can ONLY play USB2 flashdrives. I've tried two USB3 flash drives and error message indicates drive is not compatible. Anyone else have this experience with USB audio playback?
We had these issues with usb3 on our original Gen 1 software and our engineers got us us to make sure we formatted the usb keys to fat-32 and use any usb-3 keys that were 32 gig and smaller and that seemed to work. Give that a try - format to fat-32 and use 32 gig and smaller and see if that helps. Also, of the 2 usb ports, remember that whatever you plug in FIRST gets president to CarPlay and the 2nd thing you plug into usb, will still play, but only from the main menu/ Mazda menu, and not through CarPlay. Hope it helps.
Hi, nice road and drive! Do you happen to know if the infotainment system can be turned off completely while driving?
it's possible to turn it off but if you want it can keep the music on, another option is to simply let it display a digital or analog clock.
For some reason my brand new mazda3 the stereo mode and listening position is greyed out. Does any one have the same issue?
Do you have the Bose system or the stock system if you have stock it's probably not a option
If you have center point turned on those options will be turned off

Yes, absolutely. just make sure you don’t take the sunroof option as it takes away a few centimeters
I'm 6'1" and fit perfectly fine in my 2021 turbo hatch. The seat will lower to a decent level, but I don't even have mine all the way down. It's a small car for sure, but the front seats will go back far enough to negate all rear legroom if you want😂
