Excellent ! But why can't we add the video to a playlist ?
excellent ! super !!!!!!!!!
I wonder what happened to the bikes once the owners were too old to ride or passed on? Did they lie neglected in leaky sheds, succumbing to rust? Was father or grandfather's pride and joy kept pristine for future generations? Were their 27" rims and steel components considered old fashioned, and ended on the council tip?

The Lady with the 1. I wish I can have a conversation with her and all the others. That is still so stylish! We live in germany and my grandfather had a old carradice bag on his bicykle when I was kid, that was more than 40 years ago and I remeber that because that was his everyday transportation. That was very unique for me and when he died my grandma trew everything away. Seeing these gentlemen and Ladys reminded me so much of that time. He went with that bag, food and a bottle full of coffee out to do fieldwork on our farm not for joy but I think he enjoed cycling because he sometimes did it just to take a look around. Danke fürs Teilen und liebe Grüße🙋♀
Brilliant, i have learned so much from these vids, thanks for posting. May he R.I.P.

where's the sound?
I love that even though the men and boys are wearing shorts they still wear smart shoes.
Great video
Good stuff!
Hi, I've been enjoying these videos. Have you got part 4 ready yet? :)
A time when there was more cyclists than cars on the road, heaven,
re
My dad and his pals rode bikes like that all over Scotland in the 1950s. Made it all the way to London once. He never mentioned steel being real. However, he always said "Miles build stamina, but hills create character!"
No helmets or hi viz but plenty of Greenspot Nomad jackets, looking at the weather conditions the day's motto should have been "be prepared"
When Men were MEN and Steel is real
yes
This must be some of those new trendy Gravel Bikes costing 2k plus each with another 500 for custom baggage ... Ah, no
I agree. I bought a Specialized AWOL in 2018. It's all steel. In style it looks a lot like those bikes on the video. I bought it partly because it had a retro look. Now carbon fiber and electronic shifting, and pedal assist is The Thing, but not for me. I want to ride the bike. I want to be the one to shift, and power my own way. I'm the one driving the bike. I'm not a passenger. I'm a participant with the bike and the terrain. This video is fantastic. A lot can be done with a bicycle and not be dependent on extra (and expensive) add-ons. If they did what they were doing, with what seems so simple and unspectacular equipment, we all can. We just have to resist the marketing hype that drives the higher prices.
no sound
Correct
nosound what do you expect from an amateur silent camera era 1960,s
@@raypascoe4414 15 seconds in there's a caption saying "A colour sound film"!
What?
@@neiltyou're right it does say it's a sound film, it would have made it so much more interesting.
Thanks
