    Hi there, chances are you may or may not see this message but what is the company called that you sent the amp for repair?

    Can you not just change the stereo

    • @andrewkitchen2723
      @andrewkitchen2723 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can change the stereo head unit and full set up if you want, but changing the head unit will not fix the problem with the Bose amp located in the boot well of the car.

    Thanks for posting Andrew - has your repair continued to work ok? I just had mine repaired (probably the same team you used!). Just wondering if it's worth trying keep water and salt off the amp somehow (will discuss with Audi). Cheers, Mark

      Hi Mark, yes the repair is still holding up well, I haven't had to add any additional protection to the amp, but I think it may be a good idea.. I have seen some threads regarding this on the TTForum.

    Was this the Bose set up? My head unit works but with only the centre dash speaker, all other 7 speakers don't appear to be working and also thinking it's the amp.???

      It was the bose amp that wasn't working, had to send it for a repair and all is working well now

    My son's Mazda 6 has a Bose system that failed. When I started looking deeper, I saw "Made in USA" - well there's the problem right there; no wonder they drop their cookies within a year or two of manufacture :-X

    Ideally about 1000 to 2500rpm. On the plus side there is nothing amiss at high rpm .

    Unfortunately that's, your turbo. Might last 100miles or thousands but it's gonna go!

    • @andrewkitchen2723
      @andrewkitchen2723 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr Foster .... does this really sound like turbo failure? As the turbo does not scream or whine on acceleration

    • @mrfoster7854
      @mrfoster7854 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrew Kitchen A sound like a siren is a bad sign. this is the wheel hitting the housing and a sound that is of not the norm is not a good one. Increase revs a little more and see what it sounds like. A turbo is working as soon as you start the engine.

    • @andrewkitchen2723
      @andrewkitchen2723 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr Foster ..thanks for the feedback, i will increase the revs and have a listen and also post up another video tonight of this.. please take a look at my next video and add any comments that may confirm and help further diagnose if this is in fact ealry signs of turbo failure.. many thanks in advance and also for your help so far.. much appreciated

    i just recently bought a 3.2 quattro mk2 with same radio as you with bose amp and my passenger front speaker crackles with or without music playing. Noticed the side panel in boot wasnt clipped back in place properly and believe water from the boot lid and rain has gotten inside to the amp and damaged it. I hope i can get it replaced under the warranty with rac along with the warped brakes and steering knock :(
