Sometimes participating in long distance expedition races, I lost sight of the joys of just a hour and a half kayak paddle out to a close by island in a lake.

In 2018, a thousand miles and 21 days into Watertibe's Coastal Challenge Expedition Race, I capsized. In 2019 during the Everglades Challenge, I capsized on the first day. I questioned my decision making and stopped sailing all together. This is my the first sail in 5 years. #watertribe
