It’s awesome! Go for it! Just make sure you apply the Ellis Van Jason’s tuning. When I bought it, it came with some IFlight default tuning and didn’t really fly well to my taste.

Got my bob 57 from pyrodrone in 2 days. Set everything up in beta flight & had a successful flight using 2X 6S 3300MAH 120C (ZEEE LIPOS). Did you set your failsafe /gps rescue? I set mine but not sure if I did it correctly. So, I didn’t try it at all. Mine came with beta flight 4.3.2- I didn’t flash the firmware to the latest. Question: did you set your failsafe - channel fallback settings for only Angle & throttle? I believe everything else like elev, aileron, & yaw is set to auto. Just watched a video saying to make sure angle mode is set & set throttle to hold or hover 1275? Everything else is set to hold.

@@mykee_sd619 congrats for your new BOB57! I did set GPS rescue but I haven’t tested it honestly. From what I can remember right now is that I also set everything to hold and once the failsafe kicks in it should put the quad in angle mode. Throttle value must be set according to your typical weight of the quad considering battery and camera if you have any. You can try to determine the throttle value at which your quad hovers by hovering it and registering the value either from OSD in the goggles or blackbox. Mine also came with BF 4.3 and I haven’t upgraded it since it is a lot of hassle if there aren’t any official iFlight presets for BF 4.5. They are supposed to release them but not sure if they already did.

And thank you for your comment! 🙏🏻 I learned manual with Avata first but in order to fly a real quad I had to overcome the fear of loosing it because it doesn’t have those advanced features such as RTH and emergency panic button haha! Thank you! Everything was shot in D-Cinelike and color graded in post using Davinci Resolve. Mini 3 Pro footage is more vivid because it has more color grading with different techniques compared to the Avata footage. It is easier to get good grading from slow footage than from constantly moving/tilting footage like the Avata’s.

@@5n41th haha no worries man! I was like that also! I hesitated a lot to get the ND filters for the Avata but they are well worth it if you plan to make good videos! Just learn the basics of photography and how video cameras work. The main trick is to lock your shutter speed to double the framerate (fps) and limit your max ISO to around 200 to avoid big changes in brightness. Then just shoot in D-Cinelike and add color (saturation), contrast in post. You can also make more advanced techniques like, color grading, windows and keyframes to even out some areas and make the video more cinematic.

Thanks man! I’m happy to know you think my editing is good! I’m shooting everything in D-Cinelike and then adding colors in Davinci Resolve. The parts I shot with iPhone were shot using Apple Log which helps amazingly to retain all the highlights and shadows!

I actually discovered this feature very recently. I think it’s under the Channel Personalization tab and says something like “add watermark to your videos”. You have to find or make a png icon and just add it there. 😉
