This video does give me confidence, but I must say I'm very scared as I dnt like eyes being touched , bt its nice to no they do offer mild sedation which 100% I'm going to need . I will post again after surgery day. Bt sparmedica looks an amazing place, I will be in good hands.😊

I think that these people are talking about somewhere different from the place I went to. ? I went to Ossett in Yorkshire in April of this year 2025 for my left eye doing , and there have been problems from the get go. !! The eye has not healed properly, and I have been back 5 times only to be told it's not healing and I must put drops in 4 times a day . I last went back 8 weeks ago and was told they would see me in 8 weeks. Well I'm still waiting for the appointment ? I have just phoned to find out why it's so long ? And I got an awful lady who would not listen to me and eventually put the phone down on me. !! 😮 I think SPAMEDICA needs to get their house in order !! And stop treating people in this way ?

Super treatment here mum just had her cataract done there everything was first class.

It's an interesting walk-through, but ...the narration is SO utterly dull, boring and lifeless. Plus the volume level for the audio is low. Very low. My mum nearly fell asleep listening to the narrator.

Having had the left eye op in Bournemouth hospital ,I was confident of the right eye being completed at the Upton Road surgery at the SpaMedica. I arrived with plenty of time to spare. 2 hours later I walked away having had the most painful time experienced for the operation.The table was wet and I did not want to sit on it. I was shouted at to move to rest the head on the place higher on the table.keep the head back,look at the light.Then a very heavy pressing down on the eye to seal the protection around the eye. It was all very hurried affair .I did not feel happy about the whole thing,and as the 1st.opp. was so good,felt that this one was a bad experience. I put it down to Haste.

Went to my pre op assessment yesterday. I have cataracts other than that no other eye issues and ive never needed glasses. I was told yesterday unless i pay £8000 i would need "visual aids" after surgery and would be able to see long distance but not up close. I will not be having my surgery with this company.

Absolutely amazing. Had both eyes operated on in under 3 months at SpaMedica Bolton. I didn't realised how much I'd been missing. My sight is first class now, I only need glasses occasionally for reading. SO don't be nervous, the team at Bolton are professionals. BRAVO..😃👍. What age and life took away. SpaMedica returned to me. I had two cataract surgeries performed at this excellent hospital,the procedures were performed comfortably and totally pain free.The visits here from the first assessment,the ops.through to the post operative checks were handled very professionally and were a pleasure to attend.I now enjoy first class vision.

Wanting to book this year

Two things: 1, According to your website the facility is purpose built, this is not true as the building was "to let" for ages as office space. (I live nearby) I fact if you look at Google street view you can still see the "offices o let sign" 2, Couldn't you find someone who doesn't sound bored to death to do the narration?

What an excellent experience, from start to finish 90 minutes in total, easy going atmosphere full explanation of what was about happen, chat with the surgeon nice guy in fact the whole crew were excellent, looking forward to my left eye operation in Jan 2023, for me it was pain free and the day after was amazing clear vision. Thank you, everyone at SpaMedica Skelmersdale.

Hiding behind the NHS branding. Seems that the numbers of cataract referrals are clambering exponentially. I find this alarming.

I’m here right now. Just waiting for my turn. The staff and nurses are lovely. I’m pretty nervous but they really try to put your mind at ease, talking to other patients who have had it done is lovely, they have also put my mind at ease.
